your bike does not have accessories, This bike has it all...

Wow, is that a rain measuring devise on the handlebars too? Well, it is Portland I guess. Yeah bob, riding to work today it rained a 1/4" Somehow this reminds me of those bloody Mary's they sell in Wisconsin, with the pretzel, the nachos, the meat, etc. https://img-aws.ehowcdn.com/700x/cdn..._o-700x394.jpg |
For the discerning Lake Oswegoian, it needs an e-wheel.
I think that's a thermometer, needs a rain gauge and cell phone holder. Where's the camera/radar detection system? Love the chainring bash guard. Chrome pie plate, balances nicely with rear disc brake. For $159, possibly worth it for the vintage accessories. :p. I :love:greater Portland. Bike on. :ride: |
What!!! Only One Rear View Mirror, And No Streamers!!! |
Nicely equipped!
That was a shop's dream -- the margin is in the add-ons, not the bike!

Pity. Only one water bottle cage.
|
Gotta wonder who the salesman was at the bike shop.

Actually, that's not that unusual for an "old" (I'm 66, I can say that :p) persons bike from the period except the white rubber mud flaps and hub shiners are missing. |
The owner would have to pay me to take that off their hands.
|
Looks like an early disk brake on that rear wheel.

I have never seen so much awesome on one bike! Sure, it could use some streamers, hub shiners, and a second water bottle holder, but maybe the original owner didn't want to go overboard on this build ;)
Btw, anyone notice the trouser clip stored neatly around the seatstay attachment portion of the rear rack? At least, I think it's a trouser clip: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...31f212003f.png I think the reason a second mirror was not included is that, just looking at the symmetry of the handlebar array, any additional weight added to the drive side would result in a tendency to continuously veer right, towards the curb. Safety first! DD |

I scored a cell phone holder just recently, from a bike-left-on-the-curb-with-no-wheels. It's spring-clip mounted, and looks like new, so how could I say no? 😋😉 |
I'm disappointed by the lack of a toaster.

And it appears to be a reflective one at that.
I almost want to pick this up on my way back from WA to AZ just for the fun of it :) DD |

I usually have at least one bike in the fleet that could qualify me for that title. :D
I've also been known to use the Sky-Mounti bubble level device that measures the grade of the road... so I've got my own inner Capt. Dashboard that starts to come out now and then. :) https://live.staticflickr.com/7005/6...83755c_c_d.jpg Steve in Peoria |
