The little lady got a 12 pack of Truly about a year ago, and neither one of us could stand to drink that crap. There's still 10 left, not sure what to do with it.

Grrr. Last page lock-out.

I haven't tried Truly, but I read reviews after seeing it at Costco. Reviewer consensus seems to be that their #2 spot in the market (behind White Claw) is baffling; most varieties rate somewhere between 'terrible' and 'meh.' White Claw, on the other hand, is evidently the 800lb gorilla for good reason (I haven't tried it, yet, opting for some local stuff).

The house has been free of beer for a couple of weeks now. I really need to do something about that.

I don't even know if there is beer in the house. brb.

I do know that there is a reserve chardonnay in the fridge and four kinds of whisky in the liquor cabinet though.

Does it pair well with cheesecake?

Calorically, the measly 100cal of the hard seltzer means that you could have a few cans per slice of cheesecake and still be in the negative, so that's pretty nice.

In terms of flavor, that's all going to depend - there are dozens of flavors of cheesecake and seltzer, so I'm sure we could come up with some winning combinations.

Just got back and, thankfully, they're video-chatting.

My dad struggles with that too...

He pulled over .5 mile up the road. I caught up to him and he, said the words you would say in an apology. He had a smirk on his face the whole time. He didn't sell it, I told him that he was a ****ty actor. He then put some effort into it. And Then he started the usual garbage, what are you doing in the street. Its not safe yadda yadda yadda... So I said whatever and left.

After that I thought about it for a while, I decided he was full of it. I called the cops. Went to the station and explained everything. Gave the pictures to the cop and told him I had video. He said he would personally get ahold of him and discuss it with him.
It's about all you can expect

4 km on the little bike is enough to make for a good night's sleep

seedsbelize 06-13-20 05:20 PM

@trainsnorter Is there any advantage or disadvantage to front wheel drive on a recumbent?

Ain't nobody got time for that.

Last Saturday I rode with a small group from a local club, (don't know them very well) and on our return we went on the bike path for a bit and our lead rider crashed on a slight uphill right curve. When he got there a guy on a mtb was coming toward us in our lane and the guy freaked and dropped his mtb and our guy hit it and went over the bars and landed on his face. While waiting for the ambulance one of our riders got the kid's info (he's 18) and the kid called his mother who showed up to rail against us taking her son's info, saying her son would "never ride in the wrong lane".
Today I saw the group again and they said a rider got clear video of the whole thing and it shows the kid was to his left of the lane we were in, he couldn't have screwed it up any worse if he had tried. I don't know if any of that matters. The poor guy who went down needs to have his nose reconstructed.
