There will also be some grass cutting this weekend.

I cut the weeds in the north 40 yesterday then it drizzled last night and probably again tonight so the stupid things can grow back. Normally nothing grows here after the rain stops. I think we had 10 inches of rain this year.

Happy anniversary Mojo. Maybe you'll get lucky.

It's been the weekend all week for me. Finally I'm on schedule. Tomorrow I will ride to the next village over and see if I want to mow every couple weeks, for the snowbirders. Sunday, after a light workout, we go to lunch at our friend's house on the beach. There might be some painting mixed in n there.
The Springtime heat has returned. 40 degrees proper today.

How far from the beach do you live? What beach is it?

I always love the ride home, its almost all downhill and there are some lovely places to stop and decompress.

Do you work on a mountain? Hard to find more than 1-2 miles of downhill otherwise.

One of the guys has a birthday coming up and plans to do a special ride to celebrate. He does not proselytize, but I am aware that he is LDS (the religion formerly known as Mormon).

Should I :

A. Say hey, I thought you guys are not allowed to celebrate your birthday!
B. Offer to buy him a coffee/latte/cappuccino at the cafe after the birthday ride
C. Keep such subversive ideas to myself

I am thinking C is the most mature approach.

D. Make him ride his age! ie. age 55= you ride 55 miles, and you make him do most of the pulls!

We have rain off and on all day, supposedly. We'll see.

BTW, it's 56 at the moment with a high of 64 predicted.

600 ml of water deployed in my pour over device. Consumption about to commence.

By the looks of the forecast, we won't need to tap into any of Our Tennessee reserves.

Its about 200 of elevation change between this shop and my house. Almost entirely down grade on a converted rail bed.

abshipp 05-21-22 08:45 AM

First ride on the new Power Roads this morning.

They feel fast and grippy, big fan so far :)

About 35 miles. North coast of the peninsula
Specifically Chikxulub Puerto.
We're about 95 miles from the west coast of the peninsula and 200 from Cancun

Rear tire issue on my morning ride. I took the Paramount because I don't really trust my brake hack on the Trek. Thumpathumpathump. The bead was popping out of the rim. Did a side of the road fix until I could do a better job at a better place.
