In other stadium cup news, everyone was hucking them in the general direction if this scuffle. That one at 28 seconds was full! You know people mad when they throw $15 beers around

Looks like drama and controversy in women's badminton doubles: South Korea's badminton authority is complaining because China's players kept yelling 'f---' at the Olympics (msn.com)

I don't understand why the crew was suspended for the duct taping. Seems the appropriate protocol.

Tying to the seat creates a safety issue if the plane has to be evacuated (crash, emergency landing, etc.).

I've been skipping on riding here and there with the recent poor air quality, due to wind-blown particulate from wildfires to the north, in Canada. I thought that I might miss the group's Wed night ride, but the winds seem to have swung around, now coming from the south, and the AQI is dropping, so I may get to crush some souls, yet.

The airline has since reversed its position, probably due to public outcry over the crew being suspended.

I have worn my merino wool sweater every day, while here. Highs in the 70s earlier in the week. Going back to upper 90s and high humidity. There will be some adjustment.

I have a few pairs of shorts permanently stained from sealant adventures at the shop.

In other shorts problems, while working on the stains, I saw that some stretch thread is coming out around the legs. I saw somewhere on the 41 that mentioned a similar problem with their Assos bibs. Evidently the stitching on lower end Assos bibs can’t handle my massive guads.

I thought I measured it a few years ago, but maybe I should recheck--it might be more.

A good problem to have! My guads have destroyed bibs, too, though it happened soon enough that the manufacturer (SAS) sent out a new pair gratis.

In current bib problems, I washed and have worn my bibs that had developed a quarter-size sheer spot, again (I hadn't gotten around to laundry that week, didn't really care for a 5:30am solo ride). Yeah. the sheer spots seem to have multiplied... a lot. There's a good half-dozen spots that have sprang in to being, most smaller than a penny. It's weird how when it goes. it just all goes at once.

Time for a new set of bibs for me, too, I guess. I might finally get a set of cargo bibs, from Rapha or possibly Twin Six.

Ugly Orange vs Uglier Orange.

I'll let you two decided which is which. :innocent:

I'd cash out that Saturn. May not ever get another chance.

They are both ugly. My school has a much more attractive blue/red color scheme.

Good tide but one bad mechanical. My friend’s RD asploded during the ride. I believe it broke apart at the joint between the RD body and the pulley cage. A big cylindrical spring went flying and the pulley cage came off. He could have broken his chain and made it a SS but chose to make the call of shame. RD is SRAM Red eTap 11s.

You have been looking at too many doctored-up gourds in magazines and online and have unrealistic expectations of gourds IRL. For shame.
