I figured they weren't wearing lycra skin suits at >150 mph.

BTW, the funniest part of the GCN motorpacing video was that Conor is SO TALL that even in the drops, his head and shoulders were higher than the roof of the car he was drafting.

So, for the "convenience" of them taking the charge from your refund, rather than you putting it on your credit card, they charge another $39.00. Companies are always trying to rip you off. SMH.

Sadly I have no refund anyway.

If you win, you have to send the cash value of the records (not the records themselves, obv) to me, since it was my invitation.

Who’s doing that?

One of my clients received a “garnishment” demand from a company formed on a Canadian Indian reservation (thus being governed by reservation law - supposedly) that claimed to be owed for a loan taken by an employee of the client. The stated interest rate was 711%. Talk about raping and pillaging.

They're also using it to funnel "people who want to be good with money" into something called Spruce.

Eh?

Birds have built a nest in the trellis outside our door. It's about 6 feet high and one of the neighborhood cats has been climbing up there trying to get the babies. I caught him sticking his paw into the nest and chased him away. He was sneaking up again yesterday. The little ones are sitting up looking around now so they might be ready to fly soon.

No, I just want a pro to prepare my returns. Not some poor schmuck who takes turns twirling a sign on the street corner outside the office.

While out riding today I grabbed a baby mourning dove and moved it from the blistering sidewalk to the shade under a lantana. Poor guy was panting and trying to walk a bit, but would faceplant every few steps. I imagine he's dead by now, but I probably bought him a half hour, in which hopefully his mom found him.

We had a hummingbird nest under our gazebo canopy. We suspected something when a female hummingbird would zoom in, then scope out the patio for a few seconds before disappearing under the canopy. Mrs. GeneJockey was convinced that she was pulling bits of the screening for nesting and wanted me to get rid of it, but I noticed a little lump between the size of a golf ball and a baseball, and I knew it was a nest. SO, we left her alone, and after a couple weeks, she stopped coming by. That's about how long they stay with the nest, so that was about right.

Are we talking a sign twirler wearing an Uncle Sam outfit or a Statue of Liberty outfit?

All of them.

I don't have a story about birds or twirling tax preparation advertising but I do have an awesome Marigold jacket. :bday::bday:

These little guys are still getting fed by a parent. A little while ago a large crow walked up toward the porch where the nest is. He took off when he saw me move. Don't know what his intentions are.
