And then they leave the door open, and often the garage door is open and the door from the house into the garage is often open.

They are in their 80s. When I’m that old, I’ll be flipping off the world as well.

I did not bring enough food this morning, and no where to get more for atleast 15 miles.

Roadkill.

I bonked super hard. Crawled to a gas station and ate a bunch of random garbage. Wanted to do another 20 miles but my crawl to the gas station took so long I didn’t have time.

I'm not 80 and I flip off the world at every opportunity. :foo:

Oh, I don't think they're flipping the world off, though certainly I'd say Mrs. Old Neighbor would. Pretty sure it's just forgetfulness, because sometimes the garage door is open for hours, or late into the night.

I'm on a streak. An 'x' and two sixes.

And I straight failed. :bang: Think that's it for doing it while I have coffee.

I began that process a couple weeks ago, at 70. A conscious decision.

Live and learn. Or not. I had a close call recently. I knew almost as soon as I left the last pitstop. I made it as far as I needed to make it. But not a pedal stroke more.
There is still time for you, Grasshopper.

Fixed, to reflect the length of Bam's rides.

3 or 5 are my most common but 4 is my average. Demonstrates the difference between mean and mode

Y'all eat too much - work on efficiency and fat adaptation.:p

My last ride (87 miles), I had a bowl of steel cut oats before leaving home, a granola bar ~25 miles in and a pack of Hostess Cupcakes at a gas station at about 50 miles.

Of course, the last ~25 miles were powered by crash-fueled adrenaline, but pay no attention to that part. :o

My current distribution (197 games played)...
1/6 = 0
2/6 = 12
3/6 = 62
4/6 = 73
5/6 = 29
6/6 = 20
X/6 = 1

My 3 and 4 were close for a while.

Don't underestimate the power of Hostess Cupcakes.

Absofrigginlutely. Add a can of Coke and the combo is pure, mid-ride jet fuel.

Or contrarian sourpuss. You decide.

I'm a regular Diet Pepsi drinker. Mid or post ride, my #1 choice is Coke.

LesterOfPuppets 08-12-22 10:54 AM

I had raspberry Zingers and a chocolate milk on the El Paso to Tucson leg of my road trip last weekend, and it was divine.

I've decided that Zingers are only really good if at least 4 years pass between servings.

never saw it. Early 80's starring Matthew Broderick but that's all I know.

I almost never touch Cupcakes, Ding Dongs etc or any kind of soda... unless it's in the middle of an 80+ mile ride, then they just hit the spot.
