Riding the coattails of bicycle pants, it would seem.

So I now know! I might suggest you fix the spelling on your post though... I know how you got there but it also looks a different way.

Thanks. When I'm unsure of spelling I type it in to a search bar, and it comes out corrected. This time it didn't. I will go and fix it.

I'm wondering whether I'm suffering from overtraining. Last week was a big week for me, with 5 days riding instead of the usual 4, including a longer Sunday ride than usual. This week, I've ridden 3 days, 22 miles each day. Tuesday and Wednesday, I was on Mrs. Peel, the 1982 Lotus Supreme, and both days were the slowest I've ever been on that route. Yesterday I was on the Litespeed, and although my time was tied for the fastest I've done on that route, my HR was significantly higher than other times. Also, even though the temps were about 78 average, I was sweating A LOT all 3 days. My resting HR may be a little higher than usual, but no more than maybe 5 bpm.

It's also possible that I'm not sleeping enough, and maybe not fueling enough during the day for the rides - I felt drained afterwards, but not bonk-level drained.

Anyhow, I decided to skip today's ride and Saturday is generally a rest day for me anyway, then I'll ride gently on Sunday, and see how I feel.

Kudos.

I was thinking of "The Importance of Bike Forums" but that is self-evident.

No sooner do I step onto the podium in the 70+ category than I start getting 70+ diagnoses. Preliminary macular degeneration diagnosis yesterday, in my left eye. They prescribed Lutein. My dad had it, but he was pushing 90 when it got bad. Don't know how long the lead-up was. I'm assuming it's hereditary.

So, if I understand this correctly, BMW puts everything you need for heated seats in all the cars, except the software switch to turn them on if you didn't pay extra for heated seats?

If I were a BMW owner, whether I'd bought the heated seats or not, I'd be some pissed.

All cars are built that way.

Some Cannondale bikes are sold with pay-to-unlock power meters. Even my own power meter has pay-to-unlock features, like L/R balance, etc. Yeah, I think that game is ********.

All PDK Porsches have launch control, but it is only unlocked if you pay for that option. Audi tail lights have US and Euro patterns, but you can only get the US programming active on US cars. There are things like that in all cars. There are lots of of hacks trying to access buried features in cars.

Why, when I were a lad, the only thing hidden in the car was that baggie of weed, papers, and old roach ends being saved for later combining into a superjoint.

It was 4 years ago this week that Mrs. GeneJockey, with The Younger Boy in tow, answered an ad on Craigs List and came home with the cutest puppy in history...

You paid for them when you bought the car. If you want to use them you must pay a monthly subscription fee. Yes, if you stop paying the seat payment, they turn them off.

It's now been 2 weeks since my stomach biopsy. No results from the lab yet. SMFH.

Speaking of cars, my 80year old neighbor gave his car to his grand daughter last Sunday. Late model Camry with low miles. He told her if she kept her grades up he would get her something upon graduating HS. He said she had straight As so she got the car. He has another older truck but is going to buy another new car.

It's the second car he's given to a grand daughter in the last few years. Nice guy.

Seems to me like a good way to build cars. And bikes. And what have you.

Bad news travels fast. Hoping this is slow, good news.

Uh oh. The jig is up. Playtime is over.

I've been battling abdominal pain since April. CT scan showed nothing. Had a colonoscopy and Endoscopy 2 weeks ago and colon was fine but I had stomach inflammation so they Biopsied it. And here I am.
I've been having a myriad of health issues. I could write a book. It would be in the horror genre.
