Pretty quiet on Monday. Non-manufacturing index from the Institute for Supply Management and the daily TSA daily traveler number.

Not if you can't feel it. You bake because you don't get any airflow across your skin. A light headwind would be preferable. Today we had nice breeze on most of the climbs.

Went for a nice hike today. From sea level to the top of a mountain. 17.7km and just under 1,000m of height gain.

Despite the mild day the wind was very brisk at the summit.

On yesterday’s ride I got buzzed by a passing SmartCar, you know those micro-cars? First time ever buzzed by one.

The car may be smart but the driver was not.

I don't know how to break this to you, but I'm pretty sure a number of people already do this.

I'll keep checking Strava while I'm out so that i know how far I have to ride. :D

Remember, I'm old and don't do well in the heat so a nice short ride would be good. You wouldn't want to feel bad if I got heat stroke or something.

I have to enjoy it for the minutes that it lasts.

For the past year since getting the pup the first thing is letting her out to relieve herself. The coffee starts soon as we get back.

However shes old enough now that I could at least start the coffee before taking her out.

The best solution is a prescription.

The worst is a hot climb with a slight tailwind. You just bake.

I think this was part of my problem yesterday, it was so hot with no wind that I just roasted.

Nah, Venus eats after I start my coffee. Priorities.

No, on a hot day it actually accentuates the heat, much like the convection setting on your oven. lol
