I have this irrational fear that I will throw out the one that is worth millions. Problem is, I have no way of knowing if that one is in there.

From your lips to God's ears, as they say. I tried Android once; never again. Mom has one and supporting it makes me itch more than usual. At least iOS is getting closer to the WP7 experience, just a few years late. Funny how many of us there are on here for how unpopular it was.

I still miss my WP, but when I had to move on, the foul taste of an iPhone was still too fresh for it to be palatable to go back to one. Between personalization and general advances in mobile tech, I'm fine with my decision to go with Android.

So, today, I lost my phone out of my jersey pocket and my watch buzzed me to tell me that my "iPhone was left behind" and even gave me an approximate street address and a point on a map. In a panic, I turned around and rode back as fast as I could for fear that it might get run over or someone might pick it up. No problem. Found it right where my watch said it should be. :thumb:

The only thing of my dad's that I asked for was the watch my mom gave him when they married. It's not worth anything other than sentimental value.

I think that that generation thinks that leaving an inheritance of "stuff" will elevate the standard of living of the recipients. These days though, most of us have bought the stuff we want, and have no need or use for passed down stuff.

Don't know that one.

After my dad died my mother said we could have any of his stuff we wanted. I got a few hand tools and a shiny Craftsman power drill from the early 60s. I burned the drill out working on the deck at my house in the mountains.
She sold the house and moved into a tiny condo before she moved to Boise to be near baby brother. I don't know what she did with the house full of stuff when she went to the condo. She bought a new house in Boise and I think she gave it to my brother. That's fine with me.

When I was a ute, my older brother was in Japan a lot and he sent the parents a large China collection. Some of it was lost in the 1971 earthquake.

Yes, and critically it was ONE generation's idea of valuable stuff. Maybe two. Point being, they didn't inherit it themselves...

No, not usually. It may also be that thatís all they have to leave to their kids, and feel they need to leave something.

I was going to say something but it's his bike. Would weaken the frame a bit, no?

There's the site, Bill. I use the product named The Whey, which is 25g of protein, low fat and good amino's and such. The impact whey isolate is also good stuff, which is lower fat. I don't think that's an issue for you, so just about any whey product on the site is a good clean product. If you're looking soon,
Wick42 -gives you 42% off. Don't buy anything without a coupon code.

There's a reason iPhone is the most popular phone.

I think he was referring to his steerer tube.

Shows how widespread the rain was.

Someone needs to set a remind me alert so we check to see if it's raining next Tuesday.

The reason is marketing. Planned obsolescence kicks in as well.

For a few weeks here recently it rained every Wednesday, which is typically the day I'm off work and get to spend as much time on the bike as I want.

Speaking of, it's going to be gorgeous tomorrow and I'm trying to decide where to go.

They support phones that are three years older than Samsung's oldest.

Why would I care about that? I donít think Iíve ever had a phone for three years. Certainly wouldnít buy a three year old model.

I threw in the "it is my duty" and that probably threw him off a bit. :)

Hmm. I like Motorola's version of Android pretty well. I can't stand Samsung's version, I think Galaxy 6 was my last one of those, and I had to do a lot of work to it to make it somewhat pleasurable to use. Mom has a Samsung and I hate touching that thing.

It's been eons since I've had an actual Google Phone, but I liked my olde one, it had an excellent version of Android on it. I had to go peek to see what a Pixel 6 was going for, nope, not paying $600 for a phone.

I've had a few Samsung phones. I think one of them even ran Windows.

After the ride last weekend I swapped my pedals back to the road bodies on Sunday. Had a beautiful night last night when I went out for a ride, but had no power or cadence because the left side pedal (the brain) wouldnít activate.

Ultimately ended up bagging the ride because I was so annoyed and pulling the whole thing apart. It works now at least, so I guess thatís good.
