Varicose veins.
 

so I had some pretty nasty veins and my Dr. told me that even tho they were not bothering me they should be taken care of. He said if you let them go they can start bleeding through the skin and end up being ulcers that do not really heal well. He also said they can cause heavy leg syndrome even tho it might be too gradual to really notice he said once they are gone people often report feeling much peppier even tho they did not know they were causing an issue. Anyway for me medicare picked up all but $245 so kind of a no brainer. I checked when I was 64yoa and my regular insurance was only going to pay 50% and it was pretty expensive so I waited a couple of months until I turned 65. Procedure was pretty painless and took 4 trips to the dr about 45 minutes each and I have one more to go where they will strip the two big ones out in the same day. said about 40-50 minutes. anyway it was worthwhile for me to get it done and might be a placebo but I do feel lighter in the legs.

big difference.did you ever try compression socks? glad the surgery worked out.

yes but they had no effect on the size of the veins. They were a requirement that I wear them for a couple months before treatment. I was pretty faithful with wearing them too.

totally done. there were some stranglers that had to be removed but all and all a painless procedure and I would highly recommend it if you have some bulging veins..I did a long ride the following day.
