FS: 57cm Lemond Buenos Aires 853 steel

Selling my Lemond Buenos Aires in size 57. Fits like a 56cm. The pictures don't do it justice.

Debadged excpet for the Lemond decals with full carbon fork. Original fork will also be included. Bontrager RXL wheelset, also debadged.

Full Sram Rival 10 speed group in silver with Sram Red cassette and front derailleur. 3t aero bars and Profile stem. Bike will not include the seatpost pictured, but rather the original post and a different saddle so you can add your own.

Looking for $750. Will ship via Bike Flights, or local pick up in California.

Nice BA. I've had one for over 20 years as my primary road bike and it's an amazing ride in my opinion.

Good luck with sale, new owner will be pleased I'm sure.

@celesteguy are those 32c tires? I am surprised this fits something that big. Might be a good detail to help sell the bike since fatter tires are all the rage these days.

Do you have the gearing and rear derailleur cage length information available on the installed components? Also, do you know the max tire size for the frame/brake reach setup?

Good eye, tricky. The tires state 28mm, but they measure 30mm and fit comfortably. It would be a stretch to fit 32s I think. Calipers are similarly maxed out here. But this is one of the reasons I switched from the stock fork which would only accept a 25mm max tire.

As for the gearing, it is a standard 53/39 with a 25 cassette. Shirt cage RD. This is enough gearing for me for what I use this bike for, however, if the buyer wants, I do have a compact silver Sram Rival crank that I could be persuaded to swap.

Thanks for the interest everyone. This really is a lovely bike. Super smooth ride and gets tons of compliments on the road.

28/30c tires would be a perfect sweet spot for a go-fast bike. I am currently working down to my Lemond being my only bike. I am surprisingly not mad about reducing my stable and it's due to how good of a bike it is! GLWS!

I would also consider selling frame/original fork only, as well as complete bike with original fork only (diifferent tires)

If you don't mind me asking, what (new) fork do you have on there that clears 30mm tires?

I have one of the black Buenos Aires. It's a great ride.

Bumping the Lemond. Make an offer :)
