One of my friends has a dad in the hospital for a month and now his cousin just died in her apartment for no reason that’s apparent yet. I can’t even imagine. And he normally has the biggest smile of anyone I know.

Dunno. That blows, though.

Have you had a chance to ride them yet? I've got close to 1k on mine, now, and I'm really liking them. Unless they start taking cuts like mad, I'll probably stick with them for a bit.

I am trying not to be a snobby cyclist, but I still cringe a bit when he shows up with it. I have not directly said anything to him other than "doesn't that thing get hot during a long ride?"

Should I continue to bite my tongue? Or tell him he cannot be a serious road cyclist until he switches to bidons? Better yet, maybe I should post my question in the 41 with a poll??

What's the problem?

Nothing really. But makes me cringe a little bit. I think the problem is with me. Sad!

You also need a poll on what bottles to suggest in lieu of said Camelbak

Awww, man.

Heard from one of my very best friends and boat racing buddies this a.m.: Yesterday, he found out his sarcoma has recurred, four years after chemo, radiation, heroic surgery, much medical drama, and a miraculous recovery. Very tough news.

Yeah. I’ve used them for a few weeks, and I’m very impressed. Definitely my new tire of choice.

With Trsnrtr riding them, too, they might be one of the more popular tires in Addiction. Who knew?

Say something? I'm a little worried about your willingness to be seen with the such.

Is he former military or something? Those folks love their tubes and bladders.

Wow, we’re supposed to be under 100* for the foreseeable future.

Think Dak is on the Cousins plan.

We are planning an epic ride along the Susquehanna for Saturday. Will try to start early to beat the heat.

It’s the humidity that’s the problem. I’ve ridden in a dry 100 and done ok. When it’s really humid, there is no evaporative cooling.

So how hot do you you get these? They got red hot in short order with a propane torch. They smoked a lot and then caught on fire :twitchy:

(I do have a spare set if I just ruined these)

Same, assuming we're talking the TLE version.

There's a fellow that races with one in my cat. I bite my tongue every time I see it. He's old enough to know better.

28mm TLE version here. On 23mm internal width rims they measure 30.5mm after a few weeks of use.

40k tt this Saturday. It'll be 97, no shade, and that'll be a long 55-60 minutes without water. I am trying 5000's with latex, and I hope they work.
