Unknown what would happen if he were on a TT bike with an 808 up front, on the sticks, and he met a cattle truck going the opposite way...... No damage done except to my a pals shorts.

coumadin testing question.

I was supposed to get my INR today but due to another in a multitude of Healthcare screw ups, the facility can't do the test today so I have to wait until Monday morning. That will be day 6 plus 12 hours. What's the big deal if it is pushed back?

I doubt a couple days is going to matter much.

Windy century done. I am bushed!

0 bathrooms, but it includes 1,664 acres of Montana tundra.

I think that kinda acreage equates to nearly infinite half baths.

Speaking of weight, I hit an approx 25-year low of 143.5 on the scale yesterday morning. Minimal to no breakfast on workdays is making me skinny.

My podcasts are all sponsored by a company that'd be only too happy to help you resolve that. :innocent:

...or a moat and a curtain wall. But even I'd probably be ok without one there. No annoying neighbors!]

Too cold, though.

That kind of average probably contains at least a couple missile silos. Imagine the excitement.

With that kind of acreage, there is no need for a half bath. You can poop most anywhere you want.

bampilot06 wasn't.

When I rode on Wednesday I bet we had some 28 mph gusts and I didn't nearly run off the road. Then again, I'm a seasoned rider. Factor that variable into the equation.

I'm Crockett.

Oh, and I have deeper wheels.

Dude! Geez! That's a bit more adventure than you look for in a ride.

I can't say I've ever been pushed that far by wind, but for some reason, the Bianchi is VERY vulnerable to crosswinds. It feels like it's going to be blown out from under me.

I have. I've been pushed across the width of a whole lane in the mountains. A friend was at my left and he got pushed over, too, or we would have made contact. Luckily there were no cars.

Some bikes are more susceptible to it than others, even with the same wheels. My Gunnar is very good in the wind but the Seven gets knocked around a bit. The Gunnar has a longer wheelbase, by about 3 inches! It also is about an inch lower at the BB and has slack geometry.

A group of us riding in the mountains and a friend got blown off his bike crossing this bridge. He was in the front and he had those elbow steerers but he says he wasn't using them. Broke his collar bone and got a helicopter ride.

Y'all need to settle the pissing into the wind contest with tri bikes at COTA. And actual deep wheels, not gravel "deep" wheels.

Although he’s in the early stages. But I agree that it probably won’t make much of a difference, at least if he’s on a relatively low dose.

Note: I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night but have been on the drug since 1990.

My 50mm wheels are about as well-behaved in the wind as my 28mm wheels. It's usually the rider that is getting pushed around. :o

My post was speculative. It was in reference to you, not bam.

Please try and keep up.

I already did.

I had a nice ride today. Just 2 others and we did 53 miles with 3400 feet and it was drizzly and cloudy all day. They took it easy on me, as usual, until we met up with a friend who is 35 and fit on our way home. He was happy to have someone to ride with so he just wicked it up a little. Very good ride, no flats, no getting buzzed by cars, no headwind.

indyfabz 04-02-22 05:17 PM

Current situation. Made mint sauce to go with.

thanks. Can't do much else but wait anyway.

As I've mentioned numerous times, this wouldn't be a problem if my insurance company and the hospital system that has a monopoly in my county could agree on reimbursement rates. Now they are out of network and I'd have to travel 20 miles to the nearest Coumadin clinic. If they were in network, there is one 10 minutes from my house. Big medicine and big insurance are fighting and I'm stuck in the middle.
