Took the old upper cabinets down yesterday, putting up the new ones (well, all but one) today. Jezuz H - there are enough waves in the walls, of this old house, to hang ten.

I have done my best to encourage this behavior by taunting faster riders when they are forced to ride the climbs with me. |

I tried a TT on Zwift Tuesday night, but what that highlighted was that I shouldn't choose a race on a whim, waiting till I'm on the trainer. I had done no investigation of the course, so I didn't know what bike to choose, so I figured TT bike with Zipp 808s. I should have done a more focused warmup, and I should have managed my power better, and I should have H'd TFU, but as it turns out, right after I dropped out, the route entered a 2.1km 6% gradient, where I'd have been dragging an anchor uphill.
Lessons learned: 1. A recovery ride on Mondays is probably a good idea. 2. A focused warmup, rather than just dicking around on the bike, is probably a good idea. 3. LOOK UP THE COURSE before I'm on it. 4. Stop stopping. Even dragging my ass across the line last is probably better than a DNF. One thing I'm curious about is whether it would have been better to reduce or even eliminate Trainer Difficulty. I don't have too much difficulty putting out consistent subthreshold power on AdZ for over an hour, but I struggled here on a much shorter course. Ah, well. Must experiment! |

Yep. There have been days where I didn't feel like riding/running/walking/mowing, but I HTFU and did it anyway.

I get to mow tomorrow too. Dangit. I guess that means I need to consider firing up the sprinklers.

How many miles, roughly? My eTap bike has over 10,000 miles and is 4 years old.
Edit: Changed battery this morning and the battery cover shows marks so I've obviously changed the battery before. Oh, well, better safe than sorry. |

Mojo, trek bikes north arlington just sent me an email, apparently if you go in the store you can spin to win free prizes. I would fly down if I wasn’t sick.

yes. It happened here a few years ago. But I can't remember exactly how. People walking get hit too.
Years ago when The Older Boy was really into trains, especially steam engines, CalTrain (the local commuter line) ran a Christmas excursion with a newly restored steam engine. As we waited for it at the station, one guy who I guess wanted to get a different angle, was standing on the opposite side of the track. I was videotaping the arrival, and in the video you can see him look up and walk quickly back to the 'boarding' side of the track, and in less than a second, the train goes by. He literally missed being killed, in front of a bunch of kids, by less than one second. You can hear me on the tape, saying, "JFC!" |

Is the spinner a converted rear wheel? I hope you can spin it by turning the crank on a bike.
details weren’t provided. Maybe Mojo can win for us all. |
