My neighbor just got a golden retriever puppy and he is also enamored with my mountain bike shoes. :)

Our house sits a half meter above grade, in part because as we were digging the pool(before building around it), we hit bedrock before we could get deep enough. So we raised the house in order to get the extra depth. Now that same shallow bedrock is preventing the rain water from draining. We effectively have a moat around us. I feel for the many who do not live above grade. Almost the entire city of Merida, for starters. Nor does the city have storm sewers. Much less rain than this makes that city un-driveable, because every intersection, being lower than the rest of the street, becomes a lake. One time, during the early building stages, when we still lived in the city, I was returning home and got mired to the point I had to park and walk. I had the two dogs with me so I couldn't take the bus. I finally found a delivery truck, whose driver offered to lead me out to higher ground.

And are those mirrors on the bar ends? Isn't that steerer tube supposed to be cut, in order to stay out of fredland?

I was amazed no one was giving me stick about that sooner! I left the steerer because I never got a proper fit, then I mostly rode the P2 and never got around to it and thus the steerer remains uncut. One of these days Iíll get around to both steps. And yes, bar-end mirrors so I can keep AG in view for drafting instead off roaring off down the road.

My bar for vanity is quite low. I nearly forgot to arrange the chain and stems for the pic. Let the legs do the talking.

I should.

My understanding is the band is named after an outdoor garden store that was located there, not a spring.

This is the storefront of the guy who builds Engin frames. What you canít see is the large complex connected to it. It was his parentsí former carpet cleaning business. (Yes. His last name ends in ďianĒ) Lots of machinery in their, including a CNC mill. Iím betting he wrote those words as a deterrent.

Peaceful demonstrations, good.

Violence, looting, bad.

For fear of getting in to the P&R weeds, I'll just say that it's not so obvious. If it were, we wouldn't be here right now.

Peaceful as far as I know, but the evening is young. The new sport here is blowing up ATMs with what are believed to be M-180s. More than 10 last night.

Do a ride report inside the war zone.

I use sprintec bar end mirrors on my road bikes. These look similar if not the same.

Actually heard now that they are M-1000s. The bombings are in random places. Lots of bodegas and the like have ATMs outside.

Make sure to use your own bike; don't rent one. #BigBrother

LesterOfPuppets and WhyFi were right - Sprintech or however it's spelled. They're so ok they're average, and get bumped out of position at every stop, but better than nothing. Price is great.

Trsnrtr 06-02-20 04:55 PM

I buy Sprint Tech mirrors in a 2 pack and make wrist mirrors out of them for use with riding recumbents. They aren't very high quality but their cheap enough.
