Got in 23 miles. Just getting back into it after a period off. 52°F and windy. All the horses were either in the stables or out to pasture.

20 miler on Guadalasca trail to commemorate Roy Wallack and his last ride which was Guadalasca.

History lesson for me, now I know https://www.latimes.com/california/s...iking-accident

Roy was a bad @@s extreme athlete as he was an avid hiker, runner and cyclist who completed extreme challenges such as the 750-mile Paris-Brest-Paris bike tour and the Badwater Ultramarathon in Death Valley.

Another day of exploring the diff temecula murietta valley bke rides (35 miles).
Its been raining during the night and now into the morning so maybe an off day unless a later day dry off.
SoCal needs the rain :)

diphthong 12-28-20 08:14 PM

two 25-spots broken up into morning and afternoon rides to take advantage of "windows" in the storm passing through.
skies still opened up on me pretty good on each ride tho. torso dry thanks to the rain jacket but otherwise, some clean up,
wipe down and hang dry situations. still, nice to be out. a few rainbows about.

a local c-note + a twenty-six spot. ran into some bonk difficulty around mile 121. luckily, i had half a pack of peanut m & m's in the jersey pocket.
took about 5 mins before i felt good again.

1 hour on the trainer in Northern Italy Dolomites. Breathtaking in more ways than one. Beautiful sunny day at 89* there while outside my window, 44* F.

25.5 for my last ride of the year. Going to start the year off right tomorrow with a good one hopefully.

Troul 12-31-20 08:03 AM

2020+1 calories burned, with an extended pre-post stretch.
Goal was cals, not distance or time.

was in your neck of the woods today. stumbled across that whittier greenway trail that ends/starts at pioneer, close to the sgrt.
filed that one away for a potential train ride up to the area for day riding.
