Looks like today is going to be okay, at least through the evening. Tomorrow, my ride day, is going to be a wash-out... because of course.

We have sprinkles with the first main round of rain starting around noon, then take a pause and come back worse tonight. We’re currently under a high wind warning but they’re only gusting at 25 at the moment.

The surgeon went as far as calling the original surgeon incompetent. I don't imagine that happens much, especially here in super-polite Mexico. Surgery of this type must be done within six weeks at the outside. It's been eight. Plus the covid, plus my age, plus the exact location of the cut, plus, plus, plus. I have tonight to sleep on it, but it looks like there will be no further surgery. I can live with that result.

Watching my first recorded, on-line continuing legal education presentation. Only about 10 more hrs. after this one. Got to get the credits in by the end of the month.

This one is discussing the rules about re-opening businesses. One rule (Pennsylvania) says you have to send anyone home with a temperature of 104.5 degrees or greater. Zoinks! Who would feel well enough to even go to work like that?

Edit: It's actually 100.4. That makes more sense.

But. That means no recovery from surgery and no physical therapy, the two of which would have laid me up for two more months. All I have to do now is wait for the pain (bumping it, and flexing it still causes pain) to go away and keep it flexible, and I'm all set

I have a Merlin CR Works Ti bike I also want to sell. I am waiting to put it up for sale until I can rewrap the bars. They are a little shoddy right now. If you guys really love Ti so much, you should give it a look. Best bike I ever owned.

Just heard we will not start the first phase of reoccupying the physical workspace until 22 June at the earliest. New case rate in the community is still flat. In the meantime, continued ad hoc, skeleton staffing.

Agree. I am not pleased with the stripped-down version, but I don't miss those features enough to cough up $60/year.

I was going to say, doesn't the brain get damaged at temps that high? I was guilty of going to work sick most of my life. We never had sick pay until the last few years when the state made it mandatory (3 days per year @minimum wage). But the main problem was when I took time off the (crappy) work would pile up and I would be swamped when I came back. I remember shivering at work, coughing uncontrollably, and sleeping in cars. During my last couple years there I promised myself I wasn't going to work when I was really sick.

Forecasting close to an inch of rain in about an hour. Could get sporty if that comes true.

Slow day. Everyone must be waiting for some quality content.

Guessing around 54. He and I are close to the same height. I can ride a 52, 53, or 54.

I don't want her, you can have her, she's too small for me....

Trsnrtr 06-09-20 10:29 AM

For the record, my wife would divorce me if I bought another bike.

rpenmanparker 06-09-20 11:38 AM

Yes, 54. 14.5 lb.

Just a few minutes ago I heard the bike calling, "Trainsnorter, Trainsnorter." It was pitiful.

I believe seedsbelize got the worst of it. The coastal parishes naturally got the majority of it here, with some minor flooding at the lakefronts.

I didn't think Ti bikes are that light.

[haven't been paying attention, though]
