My gardens would love some rain right now, it's been dry.

Wow. Refreshing, but that's not really something you want to hear about your surgeon's work. In other words, your finger could have been done a lot better. Damn!

It’s certainly small enough to get down that low.

Pay attention. The weight of a frame is only a fraction of the whole bike weight. So if an uber light crabon fiber frame weighs 1Kg while a Ti frame weighs 1.8Kg, you can see that it's still easy to get a Ti frame to be part of a lightweight build.

I didn't think Tisters are generally weenieish.

Weenieism is rampant, no matter the frame material.

Even the steel is real crowd suffers.

They can be.

Exhibit A, above.

If you had a 14 lb bike you could probably get by without a motor :)

datlas 06-09-20 02:09 PM

BTW, it's easier and cheaper to have a weight weenie body than a weight weenie bike.

Hitting segment PRs on a cargo bike would be less satisfying than doing it on the Allez (16#).

And then you put 2.5 lbs. of water on it.

Pre-hydrate. Less water on the bike.

Yes, 54. 14.5 lb.

Just a few minutes ago I heard the bike calling, "Trainsnorter, Trainsnorter." It was pitiful.

Dang, that’s light. When is it going up?

Sounds like a bad cycling joke: What does a weight weenie put in his/her bottles??

edit: fixed for grammar #PedanticMan

Sans pedals, computer gear, and bottle cages. Basically the way a bike would appear in a bike shop. Only you can know what your add on riding gear weighs so I provide the base weight. Heck the steel bike I'm selling only weighs 16.4 lb. I don't (whoops, I mean I didn't) screw around.

Dunno about easier.

Not a believer in that, especially in the morning for an old codger with a dose of caffeine on board.

Still better than putting the water on a bike that weighs 10 lb more. You have to ride a 12.5 lb bike like the crabon one I just sold to understand how good it feels.

But it doesn’t feel as good when you push the pedals. And really, my weenie bikes were very reasonable to put together. I really work it hard.
