The bands from my HS era were the Stones, Beatles, Doors, Moody Blues, Hendrix, Cream, Deep Purple, Animals, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, Kinks, Hollies, REO Speedwagon, just to name a few. I don't think I could pick any favorite single songs. It was a magic time to live through with a lot of wild stuff happening daily and also that thing going on over in SE Asia. Exciting and scary times, both. Glad that I lived it and yes, I do remember it.

For me just three is virtually impossible, because during high school both R&B and Rock & Roll were exploding onto the scene simultaneously. Here's a dozen samples.

FTR, I graduated HS in 1969. I'm not sure anyone here is older than me. Billy? Seeds?

I don't see any Temptations on your list. I would be bringing some Ball of Confusion with me, but that's before ol Velo Vol's strict timeline. |

It could be worse--imagine graduating in the '70s.
Don't get me started debating which was better, the 60s or the 70s. Insane amount of great music. |

Fun fact: WLS was originally started by Sears, Roebuck & Co. to create demand for radios they sold. The call letters stood for "World's Largest Store".

I wouldn't turn down an invite like that. Hell, I'd even study my "port" and "starboard."

Agree. And I don’t have any interest in racing. I can still drop most of my friends on the hills.

For those keeping score at home, waxed Chain #1 is just under 400 miles and hasn't been touched yet. It's definitely not dead silent any more, though, and I might swap it out for Chain #2 after another ride or two. Drive train is still nice and clean, 'specially considering the gross spring conditions.
