First Crit is March 5th. Its an actual race track, which I hope improves my odds of not crashing.

Me too. We wanted three, but she’s amazing and I guess we’re reaping the infertility dividend financially.
My infertility came about a year after we had him. |
February 16th I have an appointment with a different neurologist who will assess my condition, again, and discuss options. I am being referred by a pain management Dr and will presumably be referred back for a nerve block procedure which could provide relief and diagnose the source of my pain.
I don't think this is a long-term solution and I could eventually get a radio frequency ablation to the nerve to deaden the pain. This will happen in early to mid March. it seems like this area of medicine is as advanced as the lobotomy used in one flew over the cuckoo nest. Like I accurately predicted a year ago, I'm ****ed. #FullOfSunshine |

Gonna wait 'til the covid eases up a bit, maybe when the 7-day average for the county gets below 1200 or so. |

I gotta go get my sleep apnea looked at. For the past 8 months or so, I only sleep 1-3 hours at a time. On good nights I can get 6 hours total sleep.

LSS just informed me she hasn’t showered since…uh…earlier this week. That woman was born to sail!

You may indeed be ****ed and I am not defending anyone, but the problem here is not the treatment tools, which aren’t too bad, but the failure to come up with a convincing anatomical diagnosis. Back when I was trained, we learned how to do that and protect our patients from the procedurizers when the problem could not be localized. I think a lot of that art has been lost, ironically, as the imaging has gotten better and neurologists have become increasingly dependent on it. I hope this next crew can come up with a good theory and act effectively on it.
I'm in pain with no end in sight and want it to stop. I hope I don't let that lead me down the risky path. The patient needs an advocate who can guide them through the medical decisions, the paperwork and insurance BS. No one really has your interest as the main concern and the Doctor doesn't seem to understand things from the patient perspective. Sigh. |
It only gets worse. On Tuesday someone at work tested negative for omicron then tested positive yesterday after work. If I don't get omicron now. I don't think I ever will.
I should show symptoms tomorrow or Saturday. If not, I'm in the clear. |
