No, probably from getting dressed in a dark room with "blind in one eye and can't see out of the other" syndrome. In all seriousness, I was wearing Assos bibs with a black chamois. I've had trouble with these before due to the quality of the stitching and finishing. Still, I should of noticed sooner or later.

Probably started as soon as the advent of recording tape, it being a little hard to do if you're cutting the master while the orchestra plays.

Mutli-track tape opened up a ton of options. Computer recording is essentially infinity-track tape with a super-easy slice-and-splice option.

Stumbled onto another picture of Vance on the road before he became a trackie. I just like the picture.

For about the first thirty minutes of my trainer ride today, I wondered why my drivetrain was so noisy and the shifting was so poor. I was in the middle of a TT effort at the time, and had to concentrate to block it out. Once my TT lap was done, I thought about it for a second and realized I'd never torqued the rear thru axel. Oops. :o

I still run a cute little 1/2” 8tk Otari and mix to a 1/4” machine. I recorded on big 3M machines for a while but they were really meant for studios with a machine room. The benefit of few tracks is you have to plan stuff, record with the mix in mind, and actually make decisions as you work. Otto |

Be careful! Ignoring an odd feeling in my left pedal because I was in the middle of a race ended up with the pedal breaking off the spindle while I was sprinting, and I clouted my left ankle something fierce! Luckily didn't drive the family jewels back inside my abdomen - I thank sloping top tubes for that.
