The car we just bought for my daughter is an '07 GTI. It's s ton of fun to drive, and I'm a bit envious that she gets to drive it more than I do. Like me, my daughter gets joy from driving a car at a rapid pace on twisty roads. Her skill set is improving quite quickly, and the GTI is wonderfully compliant in going exactly where you point it. She's figuring out that real-world forces are a lot different than what she experiences while playing the F1 video game - LOL.

La Vuelta starts tomorrow. I was hoping my GCN+ would allow me to watch it, but not in USA. I either need a VPN or will have to cough up some $$$ for a Peacock Premium subscription. :notamused:

My LBS has a ladies ride on Thursday mornings and some of the women have been asking my wife to attend but it conflicts with our regular T-Th group. For some reason, she decided to go today and asked me to ride over to the ride (9 mi.) and then I would do my own ride while she rode with the ladies and then meet up afterwards to ride home.
We ride over (had a flat but no biggie) and the shop owner grabs me and asks me to the lead the ride because he had pressing shop business to attend to. I mean, there are worse things to do than lead fit women on a 20 mile ride. :) |
GP5000 just arrived. 53.00 dollars each on amazon.
Kind of bummed that excel won’t give me a tracking number, they allow me to track it on their website but the information is very limited. It left denver and arrived in denver yesterday. No action today. |

$5 per month? We get it “free” with Comcast but I have to pay if I use a streaming device which I weird.
Much as I love the TV, these apps are pissing me off and I'm borderline to turning the desktop back on in the evenings because they're all unusable messes. |

My parents brought my second car for me: they felt bad about the VW. It was a Triumph Herald. that started the rot: I continued to buy old english or french cars and spend a small fortune keeping them on the road. I often had to bike through winter at university as I was saving money to repair the current old car.
Not her actual car. https://bridgeclassiccars.co.uk/wp-c...itesse3950.jpg |

I just ordered a pair for my wife’s bike from the Bike Closet for $108 including shipping and Illinois sales tax. Base price was $89.98 for a pair.
I saw that, but with amazon when I ordered it said they would arrive yesterday. So it would have been less than 24 hours order to delivery. Of course for what ever reason it was delivered a day later. I am not known for my patience. I actually hate ordering anything online. I usually will pay the high price in a store to get it then instead of waiting. I know I’ve wasted a lot of money that way, but I enjoy going to stores. I draw the line when my LbS is going to charge me 170.00 dollars on two tires when I can get them online for less than 110.00. If they would have done 120.00 I would have bought them, but they wouldn’t budge. I do the red eye from PHX Sunday, so should be at my house Monday morning. I hope the pedals are there so I can give the ritchey a make over. |
