Well, landed an internship today. Plans/intentions laid for the past several years had to change with recent events and thus no international traveling, which bums me out. On the other hand, I don't have to quit my "essential services" job to fulfill said internship, so I still get a paycheck. If all goes well, graduation is imminent in August.

Congrats.

The travel situation is pretty bad alright.

Kudos on the internship though!!! August will be here in no time!

They are the much discussed RB505 Dung Beetle levers.

I have those on a couple of bikes. They look weird but they feel fine. And they work great.

Where did you want to go? Maybe MoAlpha can run the blockade in his boat.

I know! I like that frame. But is there a custom's charge plus shipping? I've only bought stuff like groupsets or less from UK.

definitely shipping, but Custom is hit and miss. I didn’t get dinged, but some were (on groupset purchases no less).

That's a Civil War allusion for you millennials and westerners.

How much do these ti frames weigh? Are they piggish?

I picked up my used sewing machine. Curbside delivery. It looks complicated.

Not sure how sewing qualifies as an essential business, but they were very nice.

Blockade-running- not just Civil War.
I was hoping for Uganda. Might be a bit difficult in a sail boat.

Also, thanks all for the kudos. Multi-quote keeps acting up for me, or I'd add all y'all to this. It's nice to have a funny/sarcastic community focused around one of my hobbies.

I could go for one of their softtail gravellers - the Routt YBB. I'd want a plush fork on there though. I think one of those weird Lauf contraptions would be the only one that would work unfortunately. Unless maybe you can adjust a SID down to 50mm-ish travel.

I don't need a new bike but I do need to replace the saddle, some cables, wheels trued, one of the shifters seems to be in its dying days.

Sad.

But there's a local tie-in.

Admiral Farragut, who you, as a student of New Orleans history, no doubt know very well, grew up near here. Farragut, TN, is named after him. I have cycled there many times.*
