The other day I did 40 miles in 2.5 hours in a group. I am the only clyde in the group but was surprised that I had to hold back when I was up front on the way home. a bunch burned out trying to keep up to the leaders and got in trouble.

I'm worried about @anonymousperson. Not two weeks ago, we would get the distance, ET, temperature, wind, a whole report. Even talk of a "nephew." Now it's "20 m." I think they may have been replaced by some sort of synthetic, or bot maybe. NONE OF US ARE SAFE

1 mile to park then to return some headphones at walgreens which i should of kept because my other headphones broke same day :,

Nice 70f day. a bit of wind on the way back. slightly tanned arms. |
48 miles on a 50 lb 1973 CCM with 1PC with a brand new rear wheel with SA 3 drum. Avg 11.8 moving. Puttered thru a park and tried the 11% hills. Lunch at DQ, break at DQ for banana split, and supper at DQ. LOL Normal FF routine for me.
Very hot for May. Was snowing and still cold just a week ago. Triangle route east, north and SW with stiff wind SE switching to S. Going 10 miles N I was doing up to 29.8. The last leg was such a drag, barely going 9 mph a bunch. Only the semis woosh kept me moving. ha |
Was going to do a local loop twice, for 28 miles. As I got home I noticed that I had a seemingly fast ride--so I stopped. Yep: best ever. 18mph for the loop. I took a quick celebratory break, refueled, went out for the loop again. This time I meant business. Got 18.1mph. Very impressed with myself, even if it matters to no one else.

I was finally felt able to go for a 10 mile "recovery" ride. I did not foresee the level of leg soreness I would get from working on my bike hunched over for a few hours, going on a rough roads test ride, and then crouching down to replace all the brakes on our vehicles without my rolling seat on Wednesday. I feel a lot better now and can't wait get out on a long ride tomorrow.

I think we all know the feeling. Congrats, in an understated way. Even little things are things. Well done.
