Good question. SMFH.
I'm living in a world I no longer understand.

Ah, that's what I was thinking, because I was wondering why they used the term "feminist" instead of "feminine" if they were talking about gay guys.

To me, a feminist individual, male or female, is a person who empathizes with women and their culture, issues and struggles, and has nothing to do with their gender issues.

I assumed that this was related to recreational use, you know - scenarios where it's not necessary but taken to add to the fun.

I am kinda wondering how they were identified as feminist, whether it was a matter of self-identification or if they were identified as such based upon their responses to pertinent questions. A handful of years ago, I don't know that I would have self-identified as being feminist if asked point-blank and unqualified, though I certainly would have been identified as such in a matter of seconds with a cursory question or two.

Don't you have some "benchmarking" to do?

Interesting question, because there used to be, and maybe still is, the phenomenon of "Feminist But", meaning either those who say, "I'm not a feminist, but..." or "I'm a feminist, but....", both of which revolve around perceptions of feminism.

As far as self-identification, those things are always complicated by perceptions of the terms, and the image you want to present. You might agree with all the tenets of feminism (for example) but not want to use the word, or you might think of yourself as a feminist but not really align with all the tenets.

But to me the interesting take-away from the study (or at least the abstract) was that they controlled for ED, so it's not about the condition, it's about the treatment, and whether you 1) think you need it, 2) are willing to ask for it, 3) are willing to admit to it.

Exactly why I probably wouldn't have self-identified without qualification. In my mind, back in the day, there was always a connotation of militancy, which wasn't (and isn't) me.

Its weird. You are about 10 feet off the water when at the helm. You donít really feel the water, waves or wind like you do on a mono. Prefer a mono with a fin.

Got it. So now I would be curious to see how they identified and/or defined "non-Feminist" men. That would be an interesting study in and of itself. I'd love to read the introduction and methodology and not just the abstract.

This is why I called myself 'agnostic' for decades, till I finally acknowledged that 'atheist' is what I am.

I don't think I've ever seen the Mississippi Delta portrayed quite like that on a map.

They "say" it's a road bike route but this route from Pasadena to Mt Wilson looks like much of it is on a trail or gravel. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32044357

I am guessing this one is a better one for Mt Wilson as it seems to be no gravel. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32007710

Comments? OK to PM me to minimize noise in this place.

Yea, eff that noise!

Wow, on Google maps it looks like someone did a ton of photoshopping all over the Delta. Something fishy going on there.

It was 57 F this morning. Been raining off and on all day. Temperature has been dropping slowly since mid-morning. Possible flash freeze tonight. Driving could be interesting tomorrow, not that I am planning any.
