I did 30 miles. It was my first time in a long time riding with someone, as I am almost always a solo rider. It was actually ok because there were moments when they were pushing me a little, and when I ride alone I think I tend to ride at a fairly easy tempo and sort of get lost in my thoughts.

At the same time, I got rejected when I asked this gorgeous triathlete girl to ride with me, so that was disappointing.

Another 32 today at 17.0 average speed. :thumb:

28 miles at 15.5 mph felt great, still do.

crockettlarry 04-22-18 07:25 PM

9.67 miles. First ride of the year, so don't laugh.

42 Miles up into the mountains until the hills got too steep and too long, was cold too. Tuesday it's supposed to be 70 so I'm going to ride to the ski resort. Long constant steep climb. 45 mph coming down.

Dirt Farmer 04-23-18 12:24 PM

53.7 miles Sunday. Debilitating thigh cramps halfway through, until I chugged some Gatorade and ate two Gu gels to make me able to finish the ride pain-free.

A little over 14 miles today; my longest ride in over 18 years. I'm a bit surprised. Beautiful day, temp about 70. I wanted to do some casual exploring with a slow easy warmup, so I did most of the downhill first. Very nice outbound, but it turns out I failed to notice that the steady 9 mph wind was at my back the whole way out.

Uphill and into the wind the whole way back--just the opposite of how I used to plan my outings. Not much I can do about the hills, but I'll pay more attention to wind in the future.

I took the 7-spd bike (the Simcoe) and on flats and downhills I keep wishing for more higher gears, but that's all right. I love the way it handles.

Just as easy 10miles today. I'm still getting used to my DI2 bike and it needs some updates anyway. It's still only set up for single shift which is good. But I need to update it and turn multishift on so I can just go through 10 gears at once.

John00 04-24-18 08:13 PM

It was 75 here today, 51 miles, still a little tired from the mountain road climbing I did Sunday.

Today so far I've done 9.5 km to work. Yesterday after work I did 58 km, of which 10 km were on gravel, 3 km on forest trails.

Yesterday afternoon I went 4.8 miles. My first "real" solo ride. I just started cycling in March, so I am new to the sport. I am also a small/petite female so I am working through my little fears of going out by myself, as silly as that may sound. This past Saturday when I was with my boyfriend we did 10 miles. I try to get out daily even if it's a short ride.

46 miles. To downtown LA, with a stop at Porto's Cuban Bakery, then back home on Metrolink. Great day, great ride!

Ryan Olivas 04-26-18 08:38 PM

34 miles yesterday and I had fun since there's not much people around and no traffic.

GuessWhoCycling 04-28-18 11:41 PM

Solo 46 miles today. :commute:

Installed new cork tape on the HB's last night. Ah so much better!

Doctor Morbius 04-29-18 04:42 PM

10 miles this afternoon. It was my first ride of the year and the first exercise of any kind I've had since the first week of January when I contracted the flu and lost all motivation.

NO EXCUSES FROM HERE ON OUT!

CAT7RDR 04-29-18 06:21 PM

Flattish Century to Crystal Cove State Park and back.

The snow is gone. Went to Barnes and Noble and then to the credit union an Aldi. A little 6 mile circuit

OldTryGuy 04-29-18 08:45 PM

Today was to food store then back. Grabbed a bite to eat and back on bike out to Walk-In for overdue T shot then off to Walmart for some additional food shopping. After my Friday night into Saturday AM jaunt I spent the remaining time chilling and sleepin.

We had our local Cancer Society's Venice Airport Relay for Life last night. Relay For Life of Venice Sign Up For Relay For Life of Relay For Life of Venice

7pm Friday to 7am Saturday.

In 2015 I committed to walk half my age overnight and thus completed 32.5 miles around the track. Again in 2016 I walked the then required 33 miles; HOWEVER, last year with worsening knees I decided to bicycle overnight instead and wound up leading off the Survivor's Lap and then leaving the airport to ride local roads and finished the 11 hours of bicycling time with 152 miles. BEGINING last night I was hoping to exceed the 152 mile distance but life got in the way with a need it now Prostate Biopsy this past Monday because a recent scan revealed a possible return of my Gleason-10 PCa.

Installing an Easy Seat https://www.amazon.com/Hobson-Easyse.../dp/B000GBK4Z4 on my Paramount I set off butt after 52 SLOW miles I had enough. Swapped out seat for my standard cheapo padded seat rested up a bit and then it was back on the road into blowing headwinds for the 18 miles back to the airport. ONLY able to get in 101 miles overnight AND OF COURSE as soon as I got back the wind dropped to ZERO.

mooler 04-29-18 08:52 PM

one4smoke 05-02-18 09:07 PM

Doctor Morbius 05-02-18 09:25 PM
