Someone tossed out the “M” word without substantiation and a few took it as fact.
In any event, I don’t think the thread is the right place for that discussion. |

I decided to take the day off. Going to take care of some errands via the bike then ride into the park for lunch and my crossword.
Morning was cool and low humidity so I had a fantastic ride. It’s definitely chipseal season in Chester County but luckily today’s route only had a short section with “fresh oil and chips.” Today is my first day of vacation in a LONG time (since November), I was originally going to have the whole week off for a Spain trip but things changed and I decided to just work most of the week and take off today to ride and do some work on the house. We painted daughter #1’s room since she is presumably never moving back, and are converting it to a guest room. |

Is it possible that I am still recovering from last weeks long ride? My legs are heavy, feel tired and have zero power. If this is what getting old feels like I am not a fan.

You’re describing my persistent state.
No admission fee, that's the least I could do. |
Bought a set of 105 7000 hubs instead.
Maybe when Shimano's 12 speed finally drops I can take the Trek to 11 somewhat affordably. |

Hi VG, good to see you again. Get some snacks!!! I've already written off 2020. Maybe next year... |

DHL is starting to piss me off.
I paid the duties online as soon as I got the email notification yesterday morning. Shortly after that, I got a notification that the wheels had magically teleported and had already arrived in Mpls (:bday:) but no change in the estimated delivery date of Monday (:(). Then I got a notification that the shipment was being withheld until the duties were paid. At that point, I called up DHL - they said that they saw that I'd paid, but that they wouldn't have a chance to deliver until Monday. I asked if I could just pick the damn box up myself (the distribution center is only 6 or 7 miles away). They said that I could; they'd change the delivery request, but it would take time for someone to pick it from the warehouse and that it wouldn't be ready until today, despite the fact that it wasn't even noon yet. As of now, no notification that it's ready to pick up and the status still isn't reflecting that I've paid the duties, which makes me wonder if anyone is going to bother to pick the box before said status changes. I've been told to call them back in another four hours, if I haven't heard from them first. Thankfully, I've been given a direct line so that *knock on wood* I don't have to wait in queue for another 15-20 minutes. |

It's absolutely not the right place for that discussion and I won't let it happen. I would hope it doesn't get prolonged here either. Understandably a sore spot for all of us but we have to keep our emotions in check. There's a time and a place for everything.

And RUOkie in the house!!!!!

NSAIDs and blood volume reduction from dehydration both produce signals that decrease kidney blood flow. The combination can reduce flow to the point where permanent kidney damage (acute tubular necrosis) occurs.

One time use, or over a period of time?
I know of TT guys that will take 800 mg prior to an hour TT, and that usually means no water/fluids ingested, other that prior and post TT.

This is still a popcorn worthy place.

Buffalo Springs 70.3 cancelled in the middle of the day yesterday, while some people were en route and couldn’t cancel hotels. I’m still inclined to believe this whole year is a wash, and I won’t believe any event (athletic or otherwise) is going to happen until several are successfully completed.
That includes any sort of football. :( |

Those 16 oz cans of NE DIPAs can make a big dent in the calorie budget. I've got a weak spot for 'em, too (a couple of the guys in my club are brewers and I've been turned on to the good stuff), but I've been trying to find lower-cal options. What I'm finding is that I'd rather have one 200 cal IPA (12oz, not hazy, DIPA or anything else) instead of two 100 cal session IPAs. 100 cal hard seltzers? Hate to admit it, but those hit the spot in the summer.
we’re either having NE IPAs or DIPAs, hard seltzer, occasionally gin and soda water. |
