A friend of ours will be 65 this month, and she and her husband invited us and two other couples to be her guests. They normally bareboat, but she wanted a crew to serve us for this trip. All we have to do is get there. Got our tickets with points, so cheap trip for us. |

St. Thomas for a week of sailing.
We are also in seats 1A and 1B so there is that comfort. predict an airplane swap, followed by a downgrade. |
Both kids came back negative overnight, so that’s good.
really good friend that we had dinner with Wednesday tested positive over the weekend, so around we go. Riding this morning I had zero energy or legs after going to bed early and getting up late, not looking good. Oh, and bampilot06 I am still deciding between that and an Aspero |

Made it to the top of my drive way, and my street had a solid thin layer of black ice every where I looked. Will try again this afternoon. |

The flight already changed from a layover in MIA to nonstop, so I at least have that going for me. |

Wow, nice! Lots of people, but that’s a big boat.
We don't know the other two couples. One is the birthday girl's brother and wife. The other is a work friend and his wife. The birthday girl is an exec with SAP and so is the friend. He's also a Porsche nut, so we have that bond. We'll make it good. Worst case is you jump off and snorkel for a while. We may go to St. Croix, and if so that'll be a bonus since I've never been there. Plus, its a longish sail. |

I have a line on an Aspero, if either of them sell before I make up my mind, then I guess I wasn’t supposed to buy either one.
If they both sell that just means one thing. you were meant to buy the Allied Echo. |

you were meant to buy the Allied Echo. The Exploro is back to full price, which is not appealing given the crap wheels Who sells a bike for 6500 w/ 2kg boat anchor wheels???? |
Whoa, I slept a lot last night. Yesterday, I had an itchy throat--I think I've been fighting off a threat.
I doing just fine now, though, obviously. :bday: |

Agree on the get along part. We are pretty easy to live with (I think) so unless someone is a total ass things should be okay. Fingers are crossed. 4 cabins with private heads should aid in that. |

Apparently, there is a Lockheed Martin facility in this fictional town.

Very nice! Private heads are great. One just hopes folks listen when briefed on how to use them.
Personally, I'd prefer that the boat be a mono, but I ain't writing the check. |

Agreed. All 8 have done this before, so shouldn't be a problem. If there is a problem, it will be the crew's problem. ;)

There would be no need to tie me to the sail pole. |
