Pffft - just do the job right and you don't have to worry about it for many moons. :P

Fun fact: When we were utes we were told that chiggers burrow into your skin, and thus the itch. So I began putting clear nail polish on them, to smother them. It worked well. Much later on in life I was told that the boring in thing was hogwash. Nonetheless, to this day I keep clear nail polish around, for whatever itch arises. Instant relief. There's a bottle on the floor next to my hammock as we speak.

My understanding is they lay eggs under the skin. Yuck.

The shop owner was building a new Allied Echo for a customer, when I was in the other day. It is spec'd with FSA K-wing bars and Allied's internally routed stem. It has Sram AXS, so no shifter cables. But he still had to run the hydraulic brake cables.

He was not enjoying the experience.

But if I can both do the job right and be able to swap cockpit components to my heart's content, what's the downside? :D

A few weeks ago I installed a Syncros Creston on a customer's Addict. One of the few times you will hear me say something to the effect of "thank god this bike has SRAM on it" :D

To Scott's defense, the hydro lines routed quite smoothly through the handlebars. It was really just getting the stem & spacer stack all arranged with the hydro lines running through it that was the biggest PITA.

I donít know. I bought it this way. Shifts good. I didnít know the QR on the front was open.

Ive covered this. I canít decide how low I want to go, and I am not spending the 35 dollars to get it cut, twice.

They were taped to the first bars when I bought the bike, and I just re did it the way it was when I got RJs bars in the mail.!!

It's much easier to lace shoes than a cockpit, I tell you that.

bampilot06 08-25-22 06:54 PM

In all seriousness, whatís wrong with my RD cable?
Im down for criticism, I didnít even realize my QR was open, now I wonder if the rear break is open too.

a) playing with other components is what the N+1 is for
2) How are you going to leave the flats of the aero handlebars unwrapped and sexy if the cables aren't internal? :foo:

Addiction - how this place has fallen. :P

After Dan333SP did it too, I looked it up. Who, whom, and that are all correct. I can't get the strike line off of the A, It just wants to be there.

Doesn't everybody tape before wrapping? It's in the rules.

I like my non-internal flattop bars' cable situation just fine. They're just barely squished into an ellipse cross section compared to more moderne flat top bars though.

I was taught to use who BITD.

I rarely go out without a mirror. My current fave is a Cat Eye bar end mirror. My previous fave was a Rhode Gear hood mounted mirror, That one just bit the dust a few days ago.
Sad!
I have no need of a Varia. Not enough traffic.

Same here. That has all changed, apparently.
