I went back and looked through the measurements on my bikes, and decided that 2 of them needed an adjustment in bar reach. One was easy - replace a 120mm threadless, 31.8mm clamp, 6 degree stem with a 110mm threadless, 31.8mm clamp, 6 degree stem.
The other one is the Cannondale, though. It's got a threadless headset, but it's a 1" steerer and a 26mm bar. Current stem is a 130mm, 0 degree 3T Forge Ahead I got back in 1995. I thought, "Oh, I'll just get a 120mm version" Yeah, right. I have been looking for one for MONTHS, and all I ever see are 130 or longer. Or 10 degree, which I don't want. Or 25.4 clamp, which I also don't want. Oh, the pain of too many bikes. |

Wait - do you mean it's not about drinking water, or it's about not drinking water?

It has decent reviews and *allegedly* shifts better than Force or Red eTap. I don't know if I'd like having to remember to charge all of those batteries though.

Velo Vol
this comment was a bit much. My excuse was I did not refill my pain meds and was in bad mood. The prescription ran out Wednesday. I was not feeling very good last night. After 2 doses i am noticing improvement. I didn't think they were helping but without them it was clear to me there was relief. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7a47aef9d9.jpg |

I'll have to be sure to keep one mechanical bike around for after the monster solar flare that takes out the 'nets. On the gravel bike would probably make the most sense, for traversing that Mad Max landscape.

New commuter build underway. Unfortunately I don't have a rigid fork that fits so I've gotta stick with the yucky sproing.

I already have 4 batteries on my bike to keep charged. What's a couple more? |
