I've only had blackberries, raspberries, and cherries foraging while on a bike ride I think.
I'd be leery of picking and eating fruit along a road. Mostly where I grew up it would be some farmer's crop. |

I took advantage of having an extra day off today to wash the 3 bikes that I rode in the last couple weeks, which got all covered in the usual road grit. Now I'm seeing whether they'll dry out in the garage with the electric radiator running and a fan moving the air around.

When I was a wee lad, we used to get wild - or at least feral - black rasbperries growing along the back of the property, which backed onto fields that alternated among corn, barley, and winter wheat. They were SO MUCH better than storebought red raspberries, but rather than providing a single big harvest, they tended to provide a handful a day for a couple weeks. So my big sister and I used to forage for them while also looking for the asparagus that had been planted many years before by the previous owner and which had spread considerably.

People will pay you good money to remove blackberry brambles from their yards up there. |
Projection of the day: Hellerick boreal triaxial. Really does a number on Pakistan.

Gonna throw this out as the map of the day:
