So, mask to the store I get, but someone is going to have to explain mask on the bike to me. I must have seen 10 people riding with masks today and even a few runners. :foo:

It's a little late to say little in Addiction.

I felt compelled to wear mine in Zombie Land but not during today’s ride. However, I did put it on when I popped into the grocery store then managed to lose it riding home. Only one more left.

They get a Velo Vol kudos.

Well well well,
I tried a different rim and it popped right on. I even got the second bead on with just thumb pressure. And here's the thing. I was unaware I still had any 27s in service.

I had a feeling you were trying to get a 622 tyre onto a 730 rim. :)

I've seen a wheel where someone was successful getting one on, had to snip it off with dikes.

And Velo Vol says that I don't look Asian enough. Sheesh.

Yeah, I can see it clearly now

I didn't take the time to watch it. When I was still an addict, I used a stovetop espresso maker, with robusta coffee. A high caffeine coffee in a strong brew.

Flagrant disregard of a valuable commodity. Reported.

I thought you were an aero-press guy. Not so?

 I joined in 2010, but spent the bulk of my career in C&V. We were warned to give the 41 a wide berth.

IKR The 41 was wild back then. Good times.

The Mavic MA40 though, pretends to be bigger than its stated size. This one was a Ukai. It weighs a ton! I wonder if it's steel. I got it as half if a $20 wheelset some years ago.

I don't get it, either. While I was out on my ride, I saw a portly fellow jogging with a mask... under his chin. Not to be rude, but you could clearly tell that this guy was going to have challenges getting enough air in to his lungs even without a mask, so I don't know what kind of caution paired with optimism lead to his decision to bring it along in the first place.

For cyclists... I suppose that there are a lot of people that ride at an effort level that's akin to walking, so maybe air intake isn't an issue. I don't know what they're protecting themselves from, but it's not getting in the way, at least?

I was, but after too many issues with the water failing to press through the grounds and shooting up the sides of the plunger and spraying everywhere first thing in the morning, I switched the pourover. As a benefit, it's all glass, so no plastic on the coffee.

I'm a daily espresso guy, but I've been hankerin' to take out the pourover for an extra dose some days. Would need to get some more beans, though, too - I don't think that my espresso beans would be appropriate. Maybe when re-supply next week.

seedsbelize 04-05-20 01:45 PM

One more discovery was made today. If I don't kill myself working outside in the first half of the day, I can skip the nap and continue to be productive through the afternoon.
Woo woo
And it sure doesn't feel like Sunday. Feels like Tuesday

datlas 04-05-20 01:51 PM

Hey MoAlpha did you see the leader board? Maybe you should take a short spin this afternoon...

I was hoping that he wasn't going to log a ride today so that I could sneak on to the podium. Not gonna happen, now. All those fake miles from MoAlpha and Dan333SP :innocent:

I thought I remembered.

We are a boring drip coffee family. See pic below. I expect this is GNC Denali level coffee but works well and is consistent/reliable.

Speaking of Strava, I just got a left-field follow request. The guy is local and he rode today, but from what I can see, we didn't cross paths, so I'm wondering how I got dug up. :foo:

I get those on Strava (and Zwift) sometimes. These folks seem to follow hundreds of others. I think they are called “collectors.” I shrug it off but do not reciprocate.

Yeah, I checked - he's not one of those. Follows fewer than 40 people, most of them local. I'm assuming that he ran across me sometime in the last couple weeks and is looking for more route ideas or something. I accepted the request, so if my remains are found scattered among several dumpsters sometime in the near future, it was him.
