I don't know how they get away with calling that stuff coffee.

It’s gotten a lot better in some places. I’ve even had Green Mountain coffee in a room. Good stuff. They have a Beverage Development Scientist.

We have been ride leaders many years and we have never told anybody that they weren’t welcome to a club ride. :(

Also, I just payed our dues a couple weeks ago. Guess that we wasted our money.

Eff that noise. Keep showing up. I'd go off the front everytime I went to the front after that. Bunch a woosies. I mean what the hell you already paid the dues, make em kick you out if your going to quit.

Mr Trsnrtr is a gentleman and I don't think that is his style.

I started getting shin splints (splits?) In my late 20s. Used to run a lot. Slipped and broke my ankle requiring a plate and 11 screws. Tried to come back 2 years later. The ankle isn't happy, the splints came back. Thus, running is dumb.

It's not good - it's awesome.

And, FWIW, I didn't get up at 5:30 to pull some espresso shots... I got up at 5:15. :innocent:

As far as hotel coffee... any port in a storm, amiright?

What kind of gas do you put in those old cars? Won't the new fangled stuff burn the valves?

If you're just going to drive them once in a while it's not a problem. If you're going to make certain old cars into a daily driver you can have hardened valve seats put in. The issue is called valve recession. Without the lead to cushion things the valves tend to pound the seats until they start leaking.

Totally procrastinated ordering the tent I wanted from REI and now it's no longer available.

Back from my usual Sunday ride. It’s cool and windy, but STILL beats work.

He also has a friend with a diesel pick up and a car trailer and sometimes they buy a car together and go get it.

That wouldn't work for me. I almost lost it while waiting less than two weeks for the Litespeed.

Procrastination is the thief of time tents.

I totally procrastinated buying the tent I wanted from Dick's and it went up $15 :( Oh well, I think I'd prefer a 2-man tent that weighs about the same (3 pounds or so) and doesn't cost too much.

Just ordered my race team kit. Officially Stoked.
Next crit is May 1st.

This morning the Madone dropped the chain. Shifting from the big chain ring to the little ring. The piece that is suppose to prevent the chain from dropping, prevented me from putting the chain back on. There wasn’t enough room between the piece and the small chain ring for the width of the chain. I ended up taking it apart in order to get the chain back on. Hopefully it won’t drop again anytime soon.

My ride from today isn’t showing up on intervals. Never had that happen before and not really sure what to do about it.

Hope y’all are all well. Just been super busy the past week. Have to go back to work tomorrow.

Mojo31 03-20-22 11:19 AM

Do you know whether the chain catcher pivots? Mine does. I’d imagine they are the same.

It pivots but in order for me to get the chain back on I had to remove it completely.

Exactly this. I couldn't have said it better. In fact, make them quit.

That trail ends at a debris basin. There are a couple of them on these trails and you can climb around them but today I didn't.

There are other trails that go over the ridge but they involve pushing which I wasn't doing today.
There is a trail in those bushes that goes over to the next canyon.

I took the easy way out.

What tent did you end up with. I don't need another tent but it could be good to know about just in case.

Mojo31 03-20-22 02:28 PM

My son is looking for a summer place in Dallas while he’s interning. Came across an AirBNB that is a camping tent in a back yard. $800/month.
