diphthong 04-30-19 10:23 PM

another 40+ miler in mixed overcast and rain. again, just nice to be out.

one4smoke 05-03-19 06:48 AM

A quick 22 mile ride after work yesterday at almost 17 mph. Gorgeous evening with perfect temps and no wind, made it difficult to want to come home ...but the Mrs. had pizza and beer waiting. ;)

Doctor Morbius 05-03-19 12:43 PM

30 miles today. Avg. speed = 15.4 MPH. Avg. HR = 124 BPM. Felt good, but it was still a little chilly and damp. Sunday should be much nicer riding weather.

NoWhammies 05-04-19 10:24 PM

115k today. Sun was out, but the temp was cool. Great to be out on the bike again after a week away. Damn work.

alloo 05-05-19 06:24 AM

I rode 4 miles checking out a local bike trail. It was pretty cool. Tonight, I will go the opposite direction on the bike trail.

Doctor Morbius 05-05-19 02:27 PM

Today I turned 59 so to celebrate I rode 59 miles. Had to take a couple of breaks for food, drink and "other" stuff. Total ride time was 3 Hrs. 47 Min. Avg. HR = 128 BPM. Avg Speed around 15.1 MPH.

Paul Barnard 05-05-19 03:29 PM

I did my first 50+ miler since my shoulder surgery in October. I rode my touring bike and averaged right at 16. I rode the Tammany Trace where there are a good number of street crossings where I had to stop. It was a wonderful weather day here. The shoulder held up pretty well. My butt is a bit sore, but overall I am happy. I need to build up some miles before I go to Colorado this year.

PaulH 05-05-19 03:39 PM

One mile for a haircut.

jadocs 05-06-19 08:42 AM

26 miles Friday
52 miles Saturday
Sunday - off
Will probably do 20 after work today.

diphthong 05-07-19 12:56 AM

a little 30-miler after the rain (but not the wind) left town. a circuitous route to a club sando lunch and a slightly more direct route home
if you don't count the brewery tasting room stop and dropping off a 4-pack of lager at the local bike store.

I'll shoot for 57 miles here in a about 3 months. :thumb:

one4smoke 05-07-19 09:25 PM

25 miles at about 16.5 after work.

 You'll have 3 more months to train? Easy peasy! :speedy:

NoWhammies 05-08-19 10:01 AM

35k today. Just a leisurely after work ride to enjoy the sun/warm weather.

Doctor Morbius 05-08-19 01:44 PM

Got in about 30 total. Did 17.7 miles in an hour today, which wasn't too bad given how windy it was. Avg HR = 156. Then came home for a snack and a break, swapped bikes and went back out for a very leisurely 12.58 miles in an hour. Avg HR = 127. Food is in the oven! :thumb:

49 miles or so, after missing two weekends (sick then rain) finally did my rail trail end to end for the first time this season.

Just looked at old pictures and realized that it was also the exact year anniversary of the first time I did that ride in the 2018 season. Unplanned, only looked like there was going to be one nice day this week so it was the time to ride it.

bakerjw 05-09-19 06:24 AM

16.5 miles on my morning commute. Well, the actual distance from home to work is 4.5 miles so I head out of town on some back roads to make it a worthwhile ride.

one4smoke 05-09-19 11:10 PM

25 at an average of 16.5.

NoWhammies 05-10-19 08:38 AM

65k. Kind of a disaster. Computer issues. Flats. Lost the group. I would have been better off just staying home and eating Cheetos.

NoWhammies 05-10-19 11:34 PM

135k today. And like a dumbass I didn't put on any sunblock. So yea. I'm burnt.

Jseivert 05-11-19 11:18 AM

41 miles! Kinda a personal best for me. 😁

Doctor Morbius 05-11-19 12:32 PM

15 Miles today, 8 miles yesterday. It's been too chilly and windy for me to really enjoy riding lately.

The sore BUTT will toughen up once again. I had a straight complete shoulder replacement and was back on the bike in 3 days. Replacement is a whole lot less traumatic than other types of repair surgery.

Can't get away from baking sun here in FL. so ALWAYS something to shield. I rode 141 miles on Tuesday but began the ride at 1:34AM and hit 100 miles as the sun was rising so the rest with low sun angle were not bad. 91.5 miles yesterday and finished before the sun had a chance to rise.

rollagain 05-11-19 08:25 PM

Did a full-length round trip on the Central section of the Maple Highlands Trail, a little over 17 miles according to the map, on the Buick. Nice day, but it was more work than I thought it should be. Spent too much of it in low gears.

NoWhammies 05-12-19 09:58 PM

33k today. A nice leisurely ride with the wife. No goals. Just a nice, relaxing ride.

Doctor Morbius 05-14-19 09:49 PM

32 miles total today. 12 at a brisk pace on one of the road bikes in the morning and 20 at a much more leisurely Zone 2 pace on one of the hybrids in the afternoon. If I ride tomorrow it's all going to be Zone 2 type stuff.

Doctor Morbius 05-15-19 12:09 PM

25 miles today on one of the road bikes. Avg. speed = 15.7. Avg HR = 129.

I've already had enough of the human race today so I'm back in my house, the doors are locked, the phone is turned off and chicken nuggets are in the oven. The rest of the day will be time to enjoy my cats and to NOT be around people.

riverdrifter 05-15-19 07:48 PM

8 sweet miles.
