Before the dawning of the 21st century I barely knew Bob Dylan existed. Only since meeting my wife in '04 did I add three Dylan songs to my phone - Rolling Stone, Positively 4th St, and Times Changing. Just 3, I haven't heard anything else that interests me. She introduced me to a lot of 60s/70s rock I wasn't into before - Joplin, Crosby Stills & Nash, etc. - because most of that stuff wasn't played on the pop channels in the big city where I grew up.
Certainly you've heard of The Byrds? They did lots of Dylan songs. |

I’ve been noticing that my garmin has a speed discrepancy whenever there are trees in the equation. Today I was tracking along the cap trail at 19 mph when I came upon some trees. My speed immediately dropped to 14-16 mph. My wattage, and cadence stayed the same and I didn’t shift gears. The trees are disrupting the unit from tracking speed.
My question, if it’s disrupting speed can be disrupting distance? Not a huge deal, but It was all I could think about while I was pedaling this morning. |
Just talked to a paralegal at the firm handling a riding buddy's case against a motorist whose actions injured him and which I witnessed. Bad stuff and I hope he succeeds.

Instantaneous readings can be off a little because of obstructions, but they correct when signal is there, specially for more or less straight-line travel. If you're anal retentive or have mondo tree coverage and you're zig-zagging all over the place, like some MTBers, then you get a wheel sensor to supplement the GPS.
Luckily I am not anal retentive. |

Not everyone appreciates a good map, it seems. So it goes.

Speaking of Bob Dylan ... first three 'albums' I bought for myself in the very early '60s. Still have the Dylan and Brubeck ones; rather the worse for wear, but playable. With the Beatles got lost somewhere along the way.
