25 miles out on the easy trails with my MTB. Two inches of rain overnight and it was much cooler, partly cloudy and breezy. Just glorious!

Thurs: 15+ and 700 or so feet.
Yesterday, Friday: 26 and 1,100 feet. Friday's loop included four lakes, Greenlake, Bitter Lake, Lake Ballinger and Lake Washington - which just got me thinking (dangerous, I know) why are some of them X or Y Lake (Bitter Lake) and some of them are Lake X or Y (Lake Washington)? Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled thinking... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...efb1ea5e85.jpg |
I often wonder how things got their designations as well.

if something significant in history didn't establish the name, then it might've been a "bought" name...

102 for the weekend. A 43 and 27 miler Saturday, and a 17 and 15 miler today.

32 miles today. Really beautiful weather, sunny, windy, low humidity, leaves starting to change. Rode mostly on tree-lined trails. Tons of people out walking, so lots of work standing to pick up speed after waiting my time to pass. Didn’t mind. Just so pretty!
