What’s your FAV lil’ accessory?

So many cool lil doo-dads and trinkets to choose from….

But for me: I found just the base attached to an old seat I was about to throw away. I asked Van (Merziac) if he knew what it was.

I suppose I should have read the words brev. VITTORIA and figured it had something to do with tire storage. Because that’s what it is, an under-saddle tire storage.

yes, toe straps work just fine as well.

I think it’s cool.

I have a small number of the sewup under saddle storage brackets. I like them.
I also like the "tire savers" that fit on nearly every single pivot brake caliper.

I love the T.A. tubular bag. For anybody not familiar, it was designed to fit in a bottle cage or it also had a loop for a strap to be attached under the saddle. Alex Singer has leather versions made for them that are WAY over the top in quality.

Nice bags! I have TA one, but the loop in not really attached and I can't see any sewing marks on it. Maybe they forgot to attach it properly :) Is yours stiched or glued?

I'm not sure, but this thread has me coveting both the sew-up holder (I used to have one long ago, except by Zeus, and could use one now), and the tire-savers. Clem would need a tire-saver made for 48mm Barlow Pass tires (!) - they've smooth enough tread, though.

Rats you beat me to it. I have three of those. Different helmet colors, gray, red, and blue.

Fredo76 your wishes may be granted. Do you ever come to abq or shall the usps do the deed.

Digression: I miss riding almost year round in decent weather in New Mexico.
Regarding the do-dad, I really like the utility and size of my Pedro's Trixie tool. I have too many neat gadgets though. I certainly love my brakes most of all; Maguras, Dia Compes, Shimanos, Raleigh, TRP, Gerry Burgess, anything that reliably stops me!

yep, although I don't recall where I learned this. Maybe I'll have to poke through my archives and see if I can dig it up.

edit: haven't found much yet. I do have a photo (probably from someone on the C&V forum) of the box for that T.A. bottle cage zippered pouch. It shows Fifi with a jersey that says "Fifi".

2nd edit:
just found this on Flickr. No particular reference to the name "Fifi", but definitely interesting.

I like brass bells. I can ring it once from far behind a pedestrian, and by the time I'm passing them, the bell is still resonating.

The tires on my commuter bike are tight, and I can't easily put them on with my hands. I don't like using a lever for that job. I use a Kool Stop Tire Jack. Too bad it's so big, but it's good to be ready.

I really liked my Flickstand when I was bicycle camping. Made leaning the bike against a tree or post so much easier. Love presta-to-schrader adapters.
