Cannondale R500
 

I know where there is a Cannondale R500 and it has these rims. They are asking $235.
Sound like a deal? It looks to be in pretty good shape. Sorry for the crummy pic.

If the frame is not dented and its in reasonably clean shape, -- sure

They made the bike for a few years and i believe had RX-100 components , maybe 105

$235 is a GREAT deal !!!!!

Make sure all works, like gears and brakes.

Offer 200 cash IN PERSON and see what happens...or if the bike is in EXCELLENT condition...take the 235.00 out and hand it to the seller :)

There's a number of features that would make me happily plunk down 235 and ride off quite happy and some that would cause me to simply walk away from the bike, the pic doesn't do a lot to help though I'd be less inclined to buy the bike based on that rim.

Another strong vote for "go for it!" assuming the frame, etc., is in good shape as others have mentioned. Wheels are replaceable but I assume the rims are just fine. Mavic has been a reputable rim.

And when you get it, provide a better pic please. :) I'm still riding a cousin of its from '92, a T600.

Good deal if all is good very nice bike.

Impossible to recommend based solely on a photo of a rim and an out-of-focus RD with a nasty, brownish chain.
