= ) Yes!

14.75 Watopian miles with 666’ climbing. Better than swimming on the local roads today.

Why do trainer rides feel ridiculously more difficult, besides little to no coasting?

22.7 and about 1,100 gain. Lots of water views. Nice day and when I had returned home they had finished pouring a two car wide, deep driveway and seven front stairs and new walkway to the porch. Unfortunately, it cost more than a new bike!

Today, 48 km. But around 1/2hr from home, my legs were starting to cramp. I stopped. Drank some water. Ate my apple. Rested and then continued. But around 1.5km from home, while trying to gently peddle out of the park on an uphill, my legs cramped up again. So badly, I couldn't walk at all. A couple walking by, helped take my bike to the grass and filled my water bottle. After loosening my legs,I walked my bike up to the top of the last hill before rode it the rest of the way home.

BTW, had an incidence downtown as a commercial van cut me and another cyclist off while we were in our protected bike lanes going straight but the van was turning right. When I got home, I reviewed the video footage and recorded the licence plate. Then I went online and contacted the company with all the detailed.

A guy we know rode our wheels back the final 14 miles. My buddy and I took turns at the front and the other guy just sat at the back. He said after the ride, "I feel a huge difference in the draft when you're in front of me!". Hey, that's what Clydes are for! :D

Partner's little 54 bike, not much of a draft! :D

45 miles at 17.6 average speed. Windy today and do you know how hard it is to get a good draft when you outweigh your ride partner by exactly 100 pounds? He tells me how good of a draft he gets when he's behind me. I said I can't say the same, he just chuckles.

Ran into a couple of forum posters of yesteryears. Good little chat and one rode with us for a bit today.

seems like a dedicated friend to ride with!

A little over 32 miles today on the "Bee Buzzin' Tour" in Greenwood, SC. Good ride. It was hot and muggy, though, and my water bottle tops for some reason both stopped allowing anything to squirt out. It's not easy unscrewing the top to take a drink while you're riding.

20 easy miles. My kind of ride lately. ;)

kahn 06-20-21 10:36 PM

32 Miles with 3,500 feet of loss. The first half was a blast and the second half a blast furnace. Washington Pass along the North Cascades Highway to Winthrop, WA. With a max speed of approximately 44mph. If was pleasant during the descent and then about 90F.
