What's the skinny on HRV? I downloaded an app, paired with my HRM, did a few readings and got some figures (44bpm, 65hrv). Now what?
In general, the higher your HRV, the healthier (and younger) you are. However, HRV is always greater the slower the HR, so there's a confound there. Unfortunately, no app I've seen controls for rate. |

The fenders have to go. There are better, less intrusive options. The one on my Cinelli comes on and off in two seconds, so you only have to use it in case your ass will get wet or it's in full commute mode.
Lynskey branded saddle has to go. What cranks are those? |

HRV is a great measure of sympathetic and, particularly, parasympathetic activity and is actually pretty good at predicting things like mortality in heart disease and maybe in the general population. It is also very useful for monitoring your training status and overall level of stress. I do it every morning. Problem is, no matter what anyone tells you, you can't get reliable data with an optical system.

So I continue to monitor and it reflects things like stress, training stress, potentially sickness, etc?

Hi! What's this thread about?

In the old man bike department, the last of the grail pieces showed up in the for sale thread over in C&V, at an affordable price. Quite possibly the last bit of (non-consumable) bike componentry I ever buy. The wheel stand should be finished later today.

Yes, but make sure you do it at the same time of and under similar circumstances. I do it lying supine right after a take a dump each morning, i.e., after 1.5 mouthfuls of coffee or sooner.

Just to up the ti bikes in here so far, my new Lynskey. When they have their clearance sales, prices become very affordable. |

Same. I have the old part down, but pulling the trigger on 8K worth of bike, is not an easy thing to do.
https://www.scott-sports.com/global/...icle=274752023. Exploring on the website, the green Addict 10, with a different saddle and black tires would be pretty snazzy. I'm still daydreaming, but at least a little closer to reality with this one. Maybe, maybe, maybe if I drop some more weight with the bikes I have now. |

I saw those too. Definitely looked like an attractive price. |
I woke up, this morning, craving coffee. I had some green tea instead.
