Ashton Lambie, who just broke the 4k time trial world record in track, and used to work at a nearby LBS, is a big LOTR fan and his instagram handle (bahamalongbottom) is a reference to that. He also sometimes shows up to gravel races with a 55t chainring. The One Chainring to Rule Them All jokes have abounded.
4km? 4k miles 4k km? 4k feet? |
It's a beautiful summer (albeit hot), and I just lost power at the office. :wtf:

Man, this time I was definitely stung on the throat, but at least on the outside, in that hollow between the clavicles. Damn thing got stuck in my jersey collar. This week is terrible.

Both are very nice, Bam! Can't imagine any of those being "wrong." Love the blue colors.
Despite the comments of others, I encourage you to spend the money on one of those bikes. Then, we can all live vicariously through you. Plus, think of the contribution you'd be making to the financial stability of the bike industry. And, it's important to treat yourself at times! :thumb: |

Countless trips up the ladder. This receptacle was originally installed for my tablesaw, sharing space in my bedroom. Ya gotta wonder. Then the tablesaw moved out to the porch, and still there was too much dust. Ultimately it got its own building, and a ceiling light was installed here. A worthless ceiling light. |

Those brake levers make nice clothes hooks, mostly for stuff taken off soaked with sweat. One wouldn't want it steeping, wet, in the clothes hamper.

What bothers me about new high-end bikes is the use of so many proprietary parts like integrated seat posts and stems. Also, the industry needs to standardize thru-axles.

Frustration with proprietary parts is part of why I’m staying away from the new fancy bikes. I want round seatposts, dammit.

Isn't an aerodadbod teardrop shaped? You know, where your belly hangs low enough to give a smoother transition to the saddle nose?

Bowing to market pressure. This is where I take issue with Free Market types who say The Market is never wrong. The Market has given us the IPA glut.
I am not a big beer drinker, but I do like a crisp pilsner. My local has nothing but fruity crap, cider and IPAs on tap. Most of them are IPAs. |
