NOS Le Spirax
 

This stuff is so rare I just got to share it with you guys.
A bike shop in Finland is selling NOS 40's-50's French "Le Spirax" derailleurs with shifters and cables, as well as matching 3- and 4-cog freewheels. I suppose the prices should be negotiable. Maybe one of the Japanese afficiandos of French bikes of the era will see this now :)

Very cool! Thanks for sharing it. According to VeloBase these were made between 1946 and 1953. The price being asked is up in Juy 543 territory!

Gulp! Now I know where these ridiculous inflation figures come from. It's not the price of gas or food, but that of vintage derailleurs! :eek:

I was so curious about the price that I went and looked, I find it sadly ironic that, that page has a quarter page ad included, for financing this purchase...

Those freewheels look as if they need several days in the spa for intensive rehabilitation. ;)

Le sigh, I bet they only work right, on French bicycles. 🤔😉
