Half way through my ride, I noticed.......

1) ...........that I did not turn on Strava!

:wtf:

I've lost parts of rides with Strava in the past. You can create manually entered rides if you wish. Perhaps it really doesn't matter that much.

And here I thought that war and famine were noteworthy. First world problem.

I hope you went back and re-started the ride.

(You probably know this, but you can add it in manually.)

CrimsonEclipse 05-21-23 10:03 AM

Great, now you can't post the results to everyone who doesn't care....

Juan Foote 05-21-23 10:06 AM

Alternately, I think you can still use map my ride to recreate your route and then convert/upload to Strava to keep continuity. You will have lost telemetry for that section though.

What does it mean “did not turn on Strava”?

shelbyfv 05-21-23 12:49 PM

Another high quality thread, as we've come to expect.:twitchy:

I rolled out one time and forgot my helmet.

Strava or it didn’t happen.

CAT7RDR 05-21-23 04:02 PM

I forgot my climbing legs today.
Left them on my hike the day before.

Rhymes with Empuriabrava.

I have done whole commutes with Strava turned off, which is a massive pain in the ass. I had to train myself to turn on Strava first, before the podcast, because when you're going for a goal, like 10,000 kms per year, manually added kms count, but they're annoyingly not "officially" recorded kms. I have also forgotten my helmet. Rode out in mid winter with a heavy fur-lined helmet liner scarf on my head, thought about how free my head felt halfway to work, got vaguely suspicious and put my hand up onto my "bare" scarf covered head. My ears were warm enough I guess.

jadmt 05-21-23 07:03 PM

I had never heard of Strava until about a month and half ago and I have to admit since using it I would really be bummed if I made it half way through a ride without hitting start. Just yesterday I was at the end of my driveway and got distracted when I was shutting my garage door and almost forgot to start it...whew total stressful situation.

veganbikes 05-21-23 07:11 PM

Oh crap, I haven't turned on Strava for 14 years...shoot. What do I do? Life is over!

Troul 05-21-23 07:45 PM

that's AI ban worthy.

#2 - Forgot to #2 before two wheeling it out?

mtnbud 05-21-23 08:47 PM

(I think this is supposed to be an add your own I noticed halfway through my ride.)

For example, halfway through my ride, I realized I had forgotten to wear my helmet!

Koyote 05-22-23 07:55 AM

(2) Halfway through my ride, I noticed that I had forgotten to put grantelmwood on my Ignore list.

tkamd73 05-22-23 07:58 AM

I usually forget my water bottle, or phone.
