Began a back 2 back ride 2-day - 2/01/2022, -- at 2:18AM and biked 22.22 miles on 2 different bikes and had 2 mechanical issues

Same old, same old loop. About 15 miles and 600 feet of gain.

But for a day that was suppose to rain - not bad. Not bad at all. Well, other than I lost one screw from my SPD cleat and when attempting to release. the shoe swiveled but the cleat stayed engaged by one screw. This follows the flat tire the other day. So, the weather was fine, the shoe, not so much.

We're having a very good Winter, weather-wise. 20C today, nice Sunny day, wind not too strong. 148km with 1444m at 29km/h ave.

21 Miles I.D. 16" of snow forecasted mid-late this week. I may be less on the trainer & more behind the shovel.

Zero - rest day. Yesterday was a hard 22 ID with 1500’ climbing with a fine Canadian lad determined to beat me to the summit of the volcano. He won pulling 6.2 W/Kg with 200’ to go.

Instead I pruned garden shrubs and grasses for 4 hours with at least another 30 hours to go. Pictured is gardening assistant.

180 Watts or 2.5 W/Kg for an hour covering 25 imaginary miles with Cadence. The last 10 minutes didn’t feel that great but hung in there.

That looks like quite a LOT - two meanings for the price of one! :p

First decent weather day in quite a while. Sunny and reasonably warm.

204km, 1700m @ 28km/h average.

600km week so far. Short easy spin tomorrow.

20.1 with 670 feet of gain. It just felt really chilly even though the temperature did not read that cold. Just very gray and damp. So we skipped the downtown waterfront segment. Played with my new phone and its "magic eraser" feature removing the breakwater wall. Also created a Pan on the computer.

Certainly need more light for that Indoor Riding! You might make a wrong turn in the dark.

You just experienced the Wrath (or Mirth) of Kahn.

Less mirth and more wrath after today's adventure in fine traffic dodging. BGT to Juanita Way where the interminable road reconstruction goes on and on while the bike path does not go on - it's mostly gone. It is so much fun climbing that interminable (twice in one report) hill with cars revving to pass the crazy bicyclist blocking the driving lane. Then there's the pleasant roar of cars on the 520 Bridge. And, of course, being a nice, relatively speaking, day, bikies, walkers, joggers, doggies and all types of types!

nice ride. desperately need to get back up to the fairfax dam/mt. tam/point reyes area. big jelly.

Drove on snow filled roads to a stretch of road I thought would be free of snow, and it was! Did an out-and-back for 45 minutes to see how changes after a recent bike fit would feel. Felt good! Was around -10C and had a 40km headwind on the ride back to my car (40km when it’s that cold feels like 60km? on a warm day).

On my drive back I pulled over to call a tow for someone who slid into a ditch in their car and couldn’t get out (snow drifts on roads running north/south, which is why sought after this east/west road ;-).
