Inner tube question for foldie tyres.

I'm using Schwalbe Marathons, sizing 16 x 1.35, and it says 35-349 also on the tyre wall. Question,

I've seen some inner tubes on Aliexpress saying 16 x 1 -3/8 ? What does this mean?

Also will these inner tubes fit my tyres too? 16x1.25/1.5 with a Schrader valve.

35-349 means the tire is 35mm wide, 349 is the #in mms of the wheel / rim diameter.

for tubes, convert the imperial numbers you mention, 1 inch and 3/8 inches to mm to see how close this is to 35mm
imperial is inches, miles
metric is mm, kms

For tubes, that's close enough. For replacing the tire, though, beware. There are other nominal 16" tires that won't work. For instance, if the tire is listed with a decimal inch size, like 16 x 1.75, it will not fit your rim. See Sheldon Brown's site for a tire size chart. Don't get your hopes up though, it will only become more confusing.

Agree, with all the tyre standards, im getting lost haha. Thankfully my main commuter bike that I use only has 700c tyres which are easy enough for me to get replacement tubes..

It means the tube is either for an ISO35x349mm tire or an ISO35x305mm tire. If it's for a 305, it's going to be tight around your 349 rim.

Nothing to be lost about. The numbers on the tire sidewall need to match. So any tire with a 349 on the sidewall will work. Any other number will not work. Simple as that. Tubes are MUCH more flexible in application. You want a tube smaller than the tire width - tubes easily expand when pumped. But per other comments, you don't want one that's too tight on the rim, or loose and floppy on the rim because they will result in a fold in the tube inside the tire and that will eventually rub a hole in the tube.
