41 miles on my hybrid yesterday, my longest ride. Decent pace (for me) and I felt good afterwards. Looking forward to getting a new bike to keep it going.

About 8pm. Sun sets early here even in the summer (latest sunset is about 7pm).

One of the vagaries of China's unified time zone - most countries this size would have at least 3 time zones, but China only has one. As a result, cities in the east of China have sunrise very early, and sunset very early as well. Here in Shanghai in the summer the sun rises by 5am but it's fully set by just after 7pm, so it's fully dark by 8pm. As someone originally from Calgary where the sun doesn't set in the summer until well after 9pm, that took a lot of getting used to.
I was thinking the time was around between 23:30 & 01:00. 65 Miles O.D. Beautiful open sky. |

As a PSA I took out my venerable can of white marking paint and marked pot holes on some heavily bike traveled routes. Got a nice thank you from a rider who stopped to chat. Mileage today? Who cares. ;)

It is hard posting after Troll, ahem, Troul!
15 and 800 feet. |
17 miles. And I was reminded why absolutely no one else was out on the trail near the river at dusk. If you don’t really bring it, bumpy gravel notwithstanding, you will suffer death by horsefly. They move pretty fast! I ended up doing a pretty fast ride (for that route). I suppose it helps to have the place to yourself.
