have you been to Robert Treman State Park just south of Ithaca? It’s gorges
I did the Bon Ton Roulet in 2006 or so. I think we had a rest stop at that park on the penultimate day, which was from Watkins Glen to Greek Peak ski resort via Ithaca. One of my more epic days on a supported tour. Chilly and damp in the morning. Then the heavy rain came. To make matters worse, the ride organizers laid out the luggage in a low point at the base of one of the ski lifts. Some peoples' bags ended up sitting in 5" of water. BTW...I really hate that "Ithaca is Gorges" slogan. Growing up, someone on my block had the bumper sticker. I thought it was so dumb. When I rode through downtown Ithaca I passed a store with all sorts of merchandise bearing the slogan. I fantasized about burning it to the ground. |
RIP Grant Imahara :(

Woo hoo - it's pouring! Of course, I'm only woo-hoo-ing because I just finished up my morning ride and avoided it.

Yeah, they're impossible for me to walk or stand much in also. Great for desk jockeying or goofing around on casual bike rides, however.
These are low tops in light redwood. I also have some hightops in orange, hightops in tiffany blue, and midtops in burgundy. |

My Vector 3s are working again, room the batteries out last night, rubbed oil on the contacts and all seemed fine this AM. What a pain in the ass.
