Tried that. Its silly, on my the button isn’t really a button in the sense you can’t see it. It senses pressure and functions like a button. So now that the screen is blank I don’t know if that part is even functioning.

Broke in my Core jersey on Saturday. Ove it. Had no idea about the zipped pocket until then. Nice feature.

Final update on The Black Bibs $60 bibs - I have determined that I cannot wear them while riding ANY of my bikes. I tried them with the Classique yesterday, and it has a fairly flat saddle, at least compared to the Avocets on 4 of my bikes. I could feel my butt sliding forward just a little bit with each pedal stroke, and had to keep skooching back. I ended up turning around after 2 miles and changing into a pair of Louis Garneau Fit Sensor 2's. No similar problem.
I don't imagine anyone wants slightly used a pair of XL $60 bibs, after the bad review. |

That's a shame you can't use them. Good luck unloading them.

So, Pops is in the hospital again. A while back he found out that he has a couple of vertebra in his lower back that have decintegrated. To the point that he is in constant pain from nerves being pinched. His legs feel like they are on fire. They had scheduled surgery to fuse and clamp the concerned pieces of spine, and found problems with his blood. Which delayed the surgery. So a week ago he was filling the Squirrel feeder and lost his balance crashed into the privacy fence, slid along it until he crashed into the railing for the deck. Where he went the rest of the way to the ground. When my mom got to him he had that look in his eyes like he didn't recognize her and couldn't really speak. She thought he'd had another stroke and called an ambulance. And he's been in the Hospital since. They had to give him a blood transfusion 2 days ago. Today Mom called and said they are doing the surgery within the next 2 days. As V.V. says,.....wut..... seams like a reversal to me. I'm glad they're helping him but that was kind of sudden.

I've been using an old laptop for Zwifting, so I get pretty basic graphics. I've been talking to The Younger Boy about upgrading. He wants to get a Kick Ass Graphics Card for his PC, and I was going to take his old one and buy a cheap refurbished computer on Ebay. Then he looked into it. New graphics card would require new power supply, and for the best performance, a new motherboard with a PCIe 4.0 slot. He figures he can use his stimulus check for that, but his GF suggested he put half of it in savings. Now he's making the argument that, after all, it's a STIMULUS, so putting half in the bank isn't stimulating anything.
I'm curious to see where he ends up on this. He floated the idea of selling off his old computer to finance a new one, which I think meant, "No, Dad, you're not going to get the whole thing for free". |
