I'm deeply considering selling the R3, getting Rival etap and road wheels on the revolt and having a single bike. Someone talk me out of it.
Sell both and get a new Aspero 5. :innocent: |

Speaking of new bikes I haven't said much about it because I was trying to keep low expectations regarding shipping dates but I just got confirmation that the frames have arrived for the Otso Waheela C that I pre-ordered a couple months ago and they should be shipping any day now.
I finally decided to pull the trigger on a new gravel bike a couple months ago because the 13-year-old Specialized Tricross I've been riding for the past 6 years has been a valiant steed but I'd like more tire clearance, a more stable geometry, and disc brakes. Of course the first bikes on my list were out of stock until 2077; came across the Waheela and even though it hadn't been on my radar I realized it pretty much checked all my boxes plus it has the advantage of being a bike that you're not going to see a lot of other people riding. I've been accumulating parts and accoutrements while I'm waiting -- titanium King Cages, a bolt on top tube bag from Cedaero, some new Sidi mtb shoes, etc. Going to try the new Pirelli Centurato Gravel H 45mm tires on it, people say they're extremely fast rolling. Of course I need to do a lot of work on the motor. It puts out a shockingly low amount of horsepower given the weight. |
Cool! Otso is a MN company. I used to have an Otso hat that I'd won in a drawing at a gravel ride, but I left it on top of the car and it blew off when I got on the freeway. :(

One of the factors that tipped the scales was when I called them to ask some questions and I talked to a real human who rides bikes and knew all of the details to answer my questions. I got a good vibe. Plus a local guy who operates a mobile bike repair business happens to be one of their authorized dealers so that helps, although I didn't realize that until after I'd already ordered it. |
I have nothing meaningful to add at this moment.

Talk me out of bidding on this.

Not going to try. It's very "velo."

It seems to be very clean, but it is a nearly 40 year old car which wasn't such a great thing to begin with. Not much power and not good mileage, but hey, if you like it you could cruise around Knoxville in it. Any idea what the bidding is up to?
Look at that nifty "Quartz Movement" clock. I wonder how easy it would be to put an eight-track player in there? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0d433c8265.jpg |

I don't know but it's "Limited." Built-in supply value right there.

I like how the clock has the inner ring with seconds, so you don't have to calculate those from the hour dial.

How about a different Buick?

Or spend a little more?

My favorite Buick when I was a ute. My dad was a Buick man, he drove out here from Cleveland in a 53 Buick in 1956. 2 brothers went with him, the rest of us flew.

Why would anyone buy a Buick when they could get a Saturn?!? :foo:
