no, sit in a chair put one leg on your knee and cinch them up. Repeat on other leg. You're welcome. I WISH. Well, one leg can do that, the other cannot. Tight hip flexors. Like I've said before, I'm falling apart like a cheap suit that got caught in the rain. |

But, you have no cables. Are you becoming an eternal pessimist?
I have another use for the 105. sigh. No, not an eternal pessimist, but I do manage to crash even when not moving. |

He has a bike with SRAM eTap, and yes it is caliper brake supported. I suppose I could do this, but it seems effing stupid to pay three thousand dollars and get a bunch of battery headaches to solve my fairly simple problem. :notamused: again Or bar end shifters. More paracido to brifters. |

You can get a dozen of these from Lord Bezos for 3 bucks and stick it to the man at big tri.

And now, thinking it through, I realize I could also harvest my elastic shoelaces from that same stash.
Wow! :thumb: |

I have a new pair of trail runners in the mail, I'll primarily be just hiking in them though.

I just checked the leaderboard. I am in 5th place. Of course I am by far the KOM.

Down tube shifters for the win. A very fast learning curve.

Have you looked into aftermarket cables yet? I was reluctant to stop using down tube shifters but now I wouldn't want to go back. I used to stick my finger into the front tire occasionally. Jagwire Pro Polished Slick Stainless Derailleur Cable - Components (competitivecyclist.com) |
Any plant lovers out there? Mrs datlas swears these plants are supposed to flower, but they just keep growing with no signs of a flower. I think they are moonflowers.

There's ONE MUP that I'm willing to ride on. Two reasons. First, there's very little traffic on it, and 2 - well, just look...

I did a nice relaxing 68 miles today, including doing Old La Honda with the goal of keeping my HR well below LT. Mostly, my HR was in the 140s, with some 130s and some 150s, but mostly Z3 the whole way. Of course, this led to one of my slowest times for the climb, but I decided not to go full "Puke At The Top" intensity. Then, descending 84, I was a total coward, so that was THE SLOWEST descent of 84 I've ever done - 4 mph slower than my best!
BUT, but not burning all my matches on OLH, I had plenty of gas for a nice long ride. Imagine my surprise when I started being hit with raindrops! Yes, raindrops, in July! Not much rain though it was enough to completely wet the pavement a couple places. It was nice and cooling, so I didn't mind. |
